Napkin Rosette Tutorial

Hello Dear Ladies,

I took a moment to look at the new Southern Lady edition online and found a nice tutorial here:
http://www.southernladymagazine.com/napkin-rosette-how-to/
The recent hard copy issue at Walmart had such nice photos of bouquets in interesting containers.

I have a list of topics to cover that have been sent by readers, but today I have time for only a brief message, and it is contained in this verse, which is a great motivation for ladies who have the huge responsibility of the home:

Col 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God andthe Father by him.

I smiled when I saw the Napkin Rosette. it reminded me of my Mom, who passed away 7 years ago. She was a waitress and when I was a little girl she taught my sisters and I how to make fancy napkin displays. Thank you, the picture warmed my heart.

I am delighted to see a tutorial on how to do this...I might look at getting that magazine issue for the beautiful flower pictures you mentioned.

Really like the dishes and that is such a neat way to fold napkins! Christina

Thank you for posting the tutorial, Lydia. I rolled a red napkin into a rose and put it in a goblet and all my kids have enjoyed picking that up and looking at the rose. My youngest girl suggested we make a few dark green squares to fold up at the base of the "roses" to give it green leaves. The girls are talking about rolling roses in all the napkin colors I have. We will be rolling pale yellow, white, red, and burgundy roses after we create some leaves for our napkin roses. My girls were tickled that I have a new napkin fold to enjoy and share. Thanks again!

Warmly,

Kimber

Kimber, the napkin in the picture is a variegated
Color which makes it interesting.

Lydia,

The dark red napkin I rolled has a pattern on it that is shiny. That made an interesting effect. I did noticed the napkin is variegated and yes, it makes it interesting :) I will try to roll those up and send you some pictures via email. I can't wait to see what they look like with several colors done up!
