Ladies Praying

1Timothy 2:1  I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2  for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

Hello Dear Ladies,

After a couple of decades of government liberalism where the foundational Biblical family and business values were torn into shreds and trampled into the dirt, many women were "hoping for the best and planning for the worst" in this election.

Homemakers everywhere were fasting and praying for relief from the liberalism that was forced upon the citizens of this country through ridiculous laws. In this election, which the arrogant media said would not elect Trump, God graciously answered these prayers and gave relief. The country chose a businessman for President.

The first thing Vice President-elect Mike Pence said was "I come to this moment deeply humbled: grateful to God for His amazing grace." See video below.

You might not see much of this video on the alphabet channels because it gives God the glory.

Yes, do offer thanks, but please remember to continue your prayers for the new president, that God will "guide, guard, direct and protect"  him. It is important not to bask in relief of victory but to be diligent in prayer about the future. As for the candidate not being exactly Christian in every detail, remember how God used Cyress the Great and called him "my servant."

It is encouraging that this President and his family are so present online with Twitter and other accounts, living openly, unlike so many of the elected judges and other officials. Some elected people cannot be located anywhere and people do not know where they live or who their families are.

Pray the new president will not get sucked in by the politcs-as-usual in D.C. They say you can be in touch with everything until you get to Washington, and then it is a different world, where it is easy to lose touch with reality.

One overseas friend phoned and said, "It is so typically American that an elected person will thank his parents and thank God and introduce his family."

Prayer is the anecdote to the storms of life. Instead of having an emotional meltdown when there is stress, be a hero and rise to the occasion by letting your first response always be prayer.  And, speaking of responses, to quote several friends, never allow anyone's bad behavior to cause you to forget your good sense and your polite manners.  Never retaliate.

Phillipians  4:6  In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Women at home can appreciate Trump's concern about having peace, that U.S. citizens may live in peace and tranquility by not allowing government to meddle in other governments. Be grateful for this but be ever vigilant in prayer for his continued success in whatever is good and lovely for America, because the political policies of this country affect people in other countries.

Remember not to place complete trust in the media. The press spreads a lot of things that are simply not true.
(Above: overseas media claims that uneducated people wearing their hats backwards were responsible for the outcome of this election.)

One of the things the press is now spreading overseas is that Trump was elected because of a lot of ignorant, uneducated country bumpkins sitting in old trucks eating corn on the cob that voted for him.

Well, media, the American people might be country bumpkins and love old trucks, but they can read the ballot well enough  to put an "x" where it belongs.

In spite of the lifetime  media propaganda (most news anchors have been seen every day for some people's entire lives, whereas a president only lasts four to eight years, so you have to ask the question about who is the greatest influence) many Americans, despite their "education" still know right from wrong. To quote a famous person, "Never let University stand in the way of your education."

Usually this blog is dedicated to whatever is good and lovely, and apologies are extended to those who may be upset by this post.  Please enjoy the photographs and paintings, and don't forget to pray.

Yes, Americans like their old trucks. And they are the ones who are so tolerant of the things that go on that impose  on their freedom.

They may seem like old country hicks to you, World, but it is a mistake to push them too far. They will peacefully close the gates to the things that threaten their families and their property and businesses.

The media says it was a bunch of uneducated country bumpkins wearing their hats backwards that caused this election result in the House of Representatives, the the Senate, the Governorships, and the Executive Office. Eventually this country bumpkin vote will result in the appointment of good judges on the Supreme Court that will honor the Constitution and the Bible.

These truck-driving country bumpkins are the ones that build your houses, fix the plumbing, landscape your property, grow your food, construct highways and bridges, plow the snow, fish in rough waters and drill for oil in cold, isolated places.

It is the commercial truck drivers that deliver goods and products to your stores...

...including this one. People called Sam Walton, who was a successful businessman that provided jobs for thousands of people, a "country hay-seed" because he refused to part with his old truck and get a cadillac. He asked, "Where would my dogs ride?"

Maybe there will be some fabric with trucks like this printed on it. A yellow hat would go with.

Everyone around here has an old truck. Some are kept for sentimental reasons, such as their grandfather bought it, or it  was their first truck. That is the case with this brown Scottsdale here just outside the window.
Americans do what they like: keeping old trucks and old, time-tested proven values.
Choosing a business executive for the Executive Office makes more sense than choosing a politician, because a businessman is less likely to give away the store.

Prayer is the most valuable thing we can offer.

This speech shows a business man's approach to the Executive Office:

Many women are happy about less money going overseas for liberal causes, and less free stuff at taxpayers   expense.
People used to teach that you have to run the country the way you would run a home by keeping out of debt, protecting your people, helping them in their future, prospering, etc. Now, the home is so broken, it would be difficult to use that comparison. We need home improvement just as badly as new government.

Bless you, Lydia. This is a well thought out and carefully worded post, and I happen to agree with everything you said. I am not American but I watched this election with great interest, and I was just as pleased with the results as you were. I do hope and pray that God will guide this new leader of your great country as he takes on this new, enormous responsibility.

You hve a very sweet heart, Laura Jeanne. It is good to know our overseas friends will pray for the President's protection. Pray especially he doesn't get drawn in by politics in D.C. He is a very smart business man and I hope he can see through all the shennanigans in Washington.

Beautifully stated, Lydia. I have been praying for Donald J. Trump since he rode down that escalator on June 16, 2015, and have exhorted my readers to do the same. Like you, I now tell them we face difficult times ahead and he needs our prayers more than ever. May God bless Donald Trump and guide and inform him.

Adrienne, yes, prayer is the best thing we can contribute to the President.

Dear Lydia, I thoroughly enjoyed this post, you made a very wise assessment of the media and our country boys and women, as you know I am one. And yes, we love our trucks!!
Praying and I do believe we will see a man that will be used to help our failing country!
Trump is not a stupid man, but the media is so bias and love everything godless.
Well, let them move somewhere else We Americans love everything country and things made in America!! And when I say Country I mean the good old USA...
Hugs and Blessings, Roxy

Just to clarify, Lydia, I am not overseas, I am Canadian, and I live quite close to the border. My husband travels into the US regularly for his job. So I feel like Americans are our brothers and sisters, and I take a great interest in what happens in your country. The Canadian government is currently extremely liberal, which is a sorrow to all us truck-loving country bumpkins. ;)

Amen! I think the media is upset because they tried so hard to sway the public over to Hillary and it didn't work. They found out that we country bumpkins can see through all of that. : ) My biggest fear right now is that we so diligently prayed for this outcome and now that it happened the American people will stop praying and become complacent again. We NEED to continue to pray for Mr. Trump and for this country throughout the next 4 years. We can't stop now!

There is power in prayer, and we must continue, I do agree! Enjoyed reading your thoughts today. We must continue in prayer for our leaders and for the heart of the people of this country to turn to God. Blessed to visit with you today :)

Dear Lydia,
Another wonderful and timely post... In the U.K., most everyone is lambasting the "stupidity" of Americans and their choice for the next President. For months, the news outlets here have only broadcast our President-elect in a negative light, seizing on any and every opportunity to make be seen as someone who wouldn't be good for our country and the world.
As an American, who was raised "country-bumpkin" style, I am quietly cheering the victories on Election Day as a way to turn around the country I love so much.
You are so right however; our prayers are needed now more than ever before, for our country, our elected representatives, and especially the safety of our next President. I have read some pretty awful things on social media in the past few days which have stunned and troubled me to the point where a media fast has become necessary for my peace of mind.

On a radio talk-show they said the press and the liberals promote all the immoral performers, singers, movies, things in school textbooks that children even 75 years ago would not have been taught, and the same media nitpicks every conservative (including me and other homemaking bloggers) to strain out any thing evil or immoral or hypocritical, judging people as though the press had high moral standards. Yet they promote all that blood and gore and bad language, immodesty on the tv , movies, and stage shows by Rock performers

Also notice how the press interviews each other for opinion on politics, just to get their own opinion broadcast. They are so out of touch with reality, as to how business works and where money comes from, and how people really want to live. They stay outnof touch by just interviewing each other, and have kept whole countries opininated their way. I am in touch with some people overseas who think its armageddon or something. The press is also a fearminger doomssaysr, doomsdayer, just so negstive. And yet many of them live well above the rest of us in nice homes paid for and all kinds of luxuries. My guess is thst while they live well, they have to make the rest of us think there is no hope. My motto is that everything the media says is a lie until proven true. How you can tell if they are lying: if their lips are moving.

Ahh, What a WONDERFUL post. SOME Christian conservatives who have blogs that are not political in nature are speaking up with our current and revelant posts and I love it. We must be true to ourselves and tell the truth. We are filled with ammunition of prayer. I am not sorry to say that I am basking in the afterglow of how God has blessed America. I just keep praising God for HIS mercy, favor and grace. But I do realize, like you point out that we should not cease to pray for Trumps safety and also decision making for our country. I have a picture of him above my kitchen sink, one on my nightstand, one at my kitchen table and one in a zip lock bag in the shower to remind me to keep him in prayer daily. Not only is this election outcome a wakeup call for America but also it needs to be a wakeup call for us to keep him under a covering of prayer. I was fasting and praying for him from Sat eve on, and as soon as I heard he became the President elect I took a communion on the go which I got from my church. It is a little plastic cup with grape juice and a wafer. I keep extras to hand out to those who don't drive to church. Thanking Jesus for his favor on America. This was a wonderful post and reminder for us that pray. Thanks and many blessings. Oh, love the truck pictures.

Dear Lydia,

Such a wonderful post. I'm from Australia and am DELIGHTED that Mr Trump won the election. The Hillary supporters here are so bitter at her loss, so blinded by the media propaganda. They nearly froth at the mouth when I say I'm glad that she lost and that Trump won. And this is in Australia, so I can only imagine what it's like over there. I'm so happy that America saw through her facade and can move forward and make America great again. For too long your country has taken on the burdens of the world at the expense of its own citizens.

This is a wonderful post. The media, Hollywood, and the politicians busy enriching their own coffers at the expense of those they say they help, are shocked that real people have a voice. People don't need the minimum wage raised 5 measly dollars, they need their 25 or 30 dollar an hour, with full benefits, jobs back! The rich have gotten much, much richer over the last 8 years, including drug companies. I could go on and on! Thank you for being my uplifting place, Lydia! I am not home, but work in a school, and it's almost intolerable, if not for the kids. ( I was never able to have my own.) I am in the north east, too. So much selfishness, greed, and evil. We hope to move to another part of the country soon. I have family throughout the south. Bless you!

No matter what country the press broadcasts from, they are part of the globalist controllers, out of touch with reality, promoting their own agenda. They like to interview each other, even from one overseas reporter to another, but they live in a bubble away from what people really believe and how they really live. After telling the world the election would be a different outcome for sure, it is a wonder so many people still faithfully listen anything they broadcast. They listen to the news more than they read the Bible. The media reports are lies until proven true. They have produced many false stories, even false televised court cases, false riots, and staged events because they need to have their own drama to report and create their desired goals. Now of course they are going to create tremendous prejudice against common people because of their choices. It is okay when the choice is media choice, but when it does not suit them, they will spin more fantastic stories. I reassured one of my despondent relatives there that the only thing Australians need to be concerned about is there will be a trade tax on imports, and Australian patriots living in this country will have to pay more for Vegemite unless they can get their rellies to send some. :-)

Dear Lydia...

First let me say, Thank you! for speaking out in such a gracious and truthful manner in regards to this election! I have to be honest, that as an immigrant that became an American Citizen because of the love I have for this country, I was very offended of how the D. party portrayed the Hispanics on this election. But also the fact that they said that country bumpkins were uneducated white males with guns, that voted for our new president! Unbelievable!

All I see, if Our Lord's hand in it all! This is His decision! and for that I am so thankful.

I have shared your post with my husband, to do what you have graciously pray for our country!

Thank you Lydia...
