Homemaker Support: Adversity & The Happy Homemaker

Art: “The Tempest” by Waterhouse

Hello All,

The volume & picture is poor today; hope it is adequate at least for you to hear it.

Today I talk of several topics so just hear it while you work.

Also I thought you might like this site which gives a 1950's housewife schedule:

With adversity comes a happy optimistic outlook, if you use it as a trigger. Hear this music & feel uplifted:

Lyrics:

Life is easy, when you're up on the mountain

And you've got peace of mind, like you've never known
But things change, when you're down in the valley
Don't lose faith, for your never alone
For the God on the mountain, is still God in the valley

When things go wrong, he'll make them right
And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times
The God of the day, is still God in the night
We talk of faith way up on the mountain

But talk comes easy, when life's at its best
Now its down in the valleys, trials and temptations
That's where your faith is really put to the test
For the God on the mountain, is still God in the valley,

When things go wrong, he'll make them right
And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times
The God of the day, is still God in the night
The God of the day, is still God in the night

I love these videos. Your homespun wisdom is timeless and encouraging to me. It's almost as if you give permission to be happy in the simple and pure things of life. Thank you. Please don't let anyone discourage you from sharing the gift God has given you to uplift women who sincerely want to be and do good.

Your videos are so helpful to me! I love the Queens Ride By story. I often think of how much encouragement the young lady received from the story of the Queen! Today as I listened, I was able to get the binding onto a quilt and get started with the handwork involved in that process! Thank you again for the encouragement and uplifting words!

What a lovely and encouraging post! I am not a housewife (Though I hope to be one one day) but even I can get something out of them myself. They are nice peaceful videos. I love your Hawaiian dress too! It makes me want to be cheerful. I admit I have a tenancy to be a "Negative Nancy" (Which is what we call her here) and it is nice to be told we can be cheerful.

And that is so strange about the troll blogs, transcrpting your posts. I don't see what anyone would get out of it. You are just giving advice to homemakers, what on Earth can you troll out of that?
