Rain and rain garments are so lovely. . as is your rain drop tea.

For better or worse, (where I live its 'for worse' as we have very harsh winters) . . we will get another chance at expressing ourselves in the frigid, dark season of snow and ice.Songsparrowgardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03088422383029281232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-81148619811213251042018-05-02T12:19:48.242-07:002018-05-02T12:19:48.242-07:00I like the idea of a low tea, maybe lunch out with ...I like the idea of a low tea, maybe lunch out with a friend and take in a few thrift shops or antique shops on a rainy day.
Janet WestrupJanet W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01574004094993067815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-29802311799377336602018-05-02T10:57:43.427-07:002018-05-02T10:57:43.427-07:00A very inspiring letter Lydia.A very inspiring letter Lydia.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04405480923081467057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-52707346440262086122018-05-02T09:38:24.099-07:002018-05-02T09:38:24.099-07:00I find that my social life is much brighter during...I find that my social life is much brighter during the rainy season since during the sunnier months I'm way too busy weeding, planting, mulching, watering, harvesting and preserving to do any socializing.
Most of the women in my area are doing the same so most of the social events are planned around the winters.
Janet WestrupJanet W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01574004094993067815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-35802307794460366542018-05-02T06:47:46.940-07:002018-05-02T06:47:46.940-07:00Thank you for this lovely post! I will plan our next year's homeschool, but also challenge myself to find other productive tasks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-71564775907455406882018-05-02T05:43:00.104-07:002018-05-02T05:43:00.104-07:00I so enjoyed this post. I educate our children at home, which makes so I don't have much time for extra things, but we take time for 5:00 tea and stories. I like a strand of lights on top of the bookshelf for ambiance and cheer on wintery days, and Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16784754212206550386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-12189236090419989902018-05-01T19:41:02.252-07:002018-05-01T19:41:02.252-07:00This was our first Minnesota winter and I spent th...This was our first Minnesota winter and I spent the whole of it trying to stay warm. We learned what the flaws are in our 1898 Victorian Mansion--it's COLD. Next winter I'll be better prepared and hopefully will get more done. Like sewing and photo albums and such. I struggle with S.A.D. so I always feel like hibernating in the winter, but we do have huge windows which let in lots of Rozy Lasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019413665136390175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-88449993901241609562018-05-01T19:32:14.793-07:002018-05-01T19:32:14.793-07:00I am hoping to get the better of the wet dark weat...I am hoping to get the better of the wet dark weather instead of letting it put me out of commission. The whole season could be turned around perhaps by creating a social life of sorts. I had a history book that showed how people used the dreary season when they could not do seasonal crops, for socializing and other things.Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15530969871397361970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9186456.post-58886405337487566642018-05-01T18:35:31.470-07:002018-05-01T18:35:31.470-07:00I love this post- I've never thought about doi...I love this post- I've never thought about doing my winters differently.
