Leave a Compliment Day

Arbor By the Playhouse

Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

Pro 15:23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

I have not been able to leave comments on other blogs due to time restraints, and today I began to make an effort to leave compliments on the blogs which visit me. I hope everyone will do the same to the homemaking blogs on my side bar links. It gives you very uplifting feedback, and it is much better to give than to receive!

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I sometimes get discouraged when no one leaves a comment good or bad on my blog. I am not on your side bar, but I often visit those who are.

  2. What a nice idea. :-) I visit your blog so very often and haven't taken the time in quite awhile to leave a comment to thank you for your lovely blog, homemaking encouragement, and thoughtful writing. It is so appreciated. I hope you have a very nice day! :-)

I was wondering when I leave a comment just thanking you for your excellent articles, if I'm not boring you or wasting your time. My comments aren't filled with interesting points or clever or wise discussions but full of deep gratitude for your encouragement, teaching and inspiration. But this post of yours, makes me think it is worth conveying my appreciation for all the work that goes into your helpful articles. Maybe it isn't bothersome for your to read once again my meager offering of thanks. So... THANK YOU dear Lydia. Love from Linda

  7. I was actually hoping we could all leave compliments on the homemaking blogs listed on my side links, if possible. I hope no one thought I was fishing for compliments. There are so many nice bloggers who get discouraged from flamers or critics, and it does their hearts good to get something nice on the comments section.

  8. Hello;
I always try to visit other people's blog when they make a comment on my blog.I think of it as courtesy; just like if you received a letter in the mail, you would eventually write that person back. I believe that some person put a lot of work & effort in the articles that they write, and commenting at least lets them know that you're at least taking the time to read what they wrote.
I also wanted to thank you for letting us know about the pretty mixing bowls. They're the prettiest I've ever seen. I favor the one with the roses.
Thanks for taking the time to post such uplifting and encouraging articles.

    Hello,

I'm a long time reader here and just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your beautiful blog. It is so nice to read your peaceful and uplifting posts centered on home, family and faith.

Recently I've enjoyed the posts and photos you've shared about your trip to the old homestead and your new kitchen.

Reading your posts about making all sorts of handcrafts from paper always brings back such happy memories of my childhood. I smile every time I read one of those posts.

    Have a lovely evening,

    Trixie

Certainly we were aware you weren't fishing for compliments for yourself. Your message to thank others was encouraging us to show our appreciation for those who go to the effort to bless us.. and you are one of those.. So thanks again. :) Love Linda

Stopped by to say hi. Like Brenda from Spruce Creek Farm said I reply to those who comment on my blog and visit their blogs as well so for once I can say I'm doing this to one of your posts. (Smile)

Hope your day is a lovely one.
