A few of these homes look like the 19th century plantation homes.
Like a country estate, this house evokes a feeling of the old homeplace, even though it is a new house.
...and some of these houses are similar to the style of the California homes of the 1950's.
Just blink and this optical thing will straighten out.

I think homes made of brick or stucco are easier to maintain..you have to paint siding. I think it makes them look ageless also. Very pretty homes and I really like the stone street. Kelly

ReplyDeleteI'm a resident of a southern Adelaide beachside suburb in South Australia and have reading with interest your posts on your visit to Victoria. I find it very interesting to read your comments regarding houses, gardens and fences that I think we take for granted. What is just a regular house to me has taken your breath away by its country cuteness!
