Elisabeth of Austria (24 December 1837 – 10 September 1898) was the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph I, and thus Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary.

Lydia, what a charming place to visit! Your pictures really capture such loveliness ; the countryside and the tearooms you visit look like somewhere anyone would find welcoming. I am sorry for the loss of your mother, but how sweet that you continue to find beauty all around you despite grief.
