Hello Gracious Ladies at Home,
I hope all is well with you in your present circumstances.
We are having interesting weather with subdued colors.
The Queen Ann's Lace has a soft, powdery scent.
This week's interest is how to cook Hobo stew and cornbread. One does not need to go far from home to do this, as it is just as enjoyable in the kitchen.
I also enjoy Lucy's 5 minute chair excercise routine.
Please enjoy being home while you listen today.
Nice art decal on this Stechcol pedestal tea/coffee cup found in discount stores.
What I wore at home:
For this look I paired an old black skirt I got at the Walmart ( 30 years ago— yes there were some very durable items then) with a current Walmart black mohair/cotton cropped cardigan.
I’ll wear this if I have go anywhere.
I will have the apron on to protect the garment during tasks in and out of the house. Someone made it for me. Apparently at the Walmart and the Hobby Lobby there are plain thick cotton aprons and iron-on embroidery patterns for aprons featuring each day of the week. This one says “ clean day.” I’d love to have the whole series.
I got this green rayon cable knit top recently from Walmart for $5 and sometime I’ll try to do a tutorial on how to sew v-necks that are too low— easily with needle and double thread.
I am so grateful for your videos. Thank you and God bless🤎💛🧡
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how different the items are at Walmart in various parts of the country. I watch some shorts on instagram from some ladies who make up outfits from Walmart and they always look so polished and nice. I see ladies showin dresses and skirts they find there. But up here (Vermont) in my local Walmarts the selection is really cheap and "young" looking. They've had a few more dresses but they are few and far between. I rarely ever find a skirt there. They might just have our store planned for some weird demographic because our store has this huge little girls department, but the department for babies and toddlers is tiny and the boys section is also very small. It's a lot different from another Walmart an hour and a half away.
ReplyDeleteI’ve heard that before!! In eastern Oregon the choices are just awful, and clothing looks worse than the Goodwill. In the coastal Walmart ms the ladies clothing is very nice and some formal wear also.
ReplyDeleteLydia, I don't know if I'm posting on the right video or not - I made notes while listening so I wouldn't forget, but now I'm not sure which video it was! You talked about baking bread. I recently bought a grain mill and the wheat berries, along with a heavy duty breadmaker from BreadBeckers. At first I didn't see any changes, except the fact that I am never ravenous any more! Now, after a few months, I've noticed that I'm not bloated anymore and that I have TONS of energy!
ReplyDeleteI also stopped eating high-oxolate spinach, almonds, and chia seeds (that I had been having daily), so that probably had a great effect on my feeling better, as well. But I feel TEN YEARS YOUNGER! I feel great now, whereas I literally had been in so much pain in my left hip that I would have to get into my car front seat and then use my arms to lift up my left leg into the car. I also couldn't sleep. I thought it was the mattress so we dumped a brand new mattress!!! But it was my body - the oxolate build-up. And now with the bread I have loads of energy and feel great!
We just watched the movie Down to Earth about "gounding" and now we are starting that - afterall, God made us to be naked in a garden - the least we should do is walk barefoot on our backyard grass and enjoy looking at the clouds for a few minutes each day! Hugs, J
I’ve had to same results from lowering oxalate consumption and walking barefoot outside!! It’s age reversal. It’s head -clarity. And not being sick in bed, out for 3 days with headaches anymore or stomach pain.
