Hello Ladies,
I am making an effort to visit with you more often.
Today in the video I talked about a number of things that make being a full time homemaker worthwhile.
The books I read from are:
Chaos to Clean by Marla Cilley (Flylady and Company)
Do's and Don'ts of Yesterday by Eric Sloane (Dover Books)
Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss (Lamplighter Publishing)
Emma (Word Cloud Classics)
For the sewist among you, here is a pattern that is easy to sew, without set-in sleeves.

Please enjoy your homemaking while you listen:
Hello again from BC, Canada. I truly enjoyed your video today. With all that's going on in the world, it's a nice, peaceful haven to come here and listen to your calming voice. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping me company today while I am taking care of a sick child. I am keeping the house very quiet and dark for him today, but I listened to you with my headphones and you brightened my day.
ReplyDeleteI remember noticing, as a child, how drab people dressed, and my response was to try to wear as many colours of the rainbow in one outfit as I could each day. I ended up wearing some very funny outfits! But I just loved clothing and loved dresses with the crinoline that made them "puffy".
I have a Laura Ashley bedspread and a vase, both found at the thrift store. I just love the floral patterns. These little touches to our homes and wardrobes can really lift the mood.
I agree with Eleanor how florals lift your mood. I'm just rediscovering this and Mrs. Sherman has always been a very good example in this!
ReplyDeleteI remember wearing florals in the 80's was just what we did. No discussion or any fuss about it. If it was pretty..we loved it! Then I went to a wedding in 1989 on a college campus. I had a beautiful Laura Ashley dress on. Every single one of the girls my age had black dresses on!! They were giggling and whispering.
They were " sorority sisters" and I truly felt like the country bumpkin. Looking back, how silly of me!
I would love to have that dress now🥰
God bless.💐
Loved your video as always, i got alot of work completed in kitchen and bedroom. The belle vie dress pattern is really beautiful. Are those digital patterns difficult to print out? Thank you for all of your encouragement.
