Be Happy, Posture, Human Dignity,

This was a recent sunrise, and it has not been enhanced, believe me.

I was looking for the original meaning of the word 'fearfully' in the scripture

:I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
    my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:14

 In  the original Hebrew, fearfully does not mean the kind of fear that we associate with being afraid. No, the Hebrew word here means to approach something or someone with great reverence, heartfelt interest, and deep respect.

So Ladies, we are respectfully and wonderfully made. That is why I emphasize the dignity of taking care of yourself and trying to be at your best for the important role of homemaking.

I also quoted "He has a future and a hope for you" from Jeremiah 29:11 (although I mistakenly gave the wrong citation).

I love the fog in the  morning and I enjoy the contrast of a fancy tea cup against the primitive background.

Please enjoy your homemaking or resting while you listen today:

  1. Thank you so much Lydia. I often wonder how does a woman who has been abused, divorced and mistreaded rise above and be a lady? God is our strength. I love what you share, God wants us to be our very best for His glory.

  2. I will try to address that. We were created to be happy. We have to go back to that for our stability. Maybe in a future talk

  3. I love love love your point about the 8 hours. I STILL cannot get past this after 30 years of homemaking and 17 years of homeschooling!!
    We also have a family business and can set our own hours to a degree.
    I think I drive my family crazy as I'm the only one out of 6 who just can't relax about this.
    I really need to pray to change this.πŸ€ŽπŸ§‘πŸ’›

  4. It’s sad how we feel anxious if we don’t sleep the “recommended 8 hours. There’s a Biblical reference to David being awake during the night. There was an evening sleep, a waking time possibly around midnight and a morning sleep.

  10. I am enjoying today’s post, thank you. I too, like the picture of your home. Really, there is so much wisdom in today’s blog post, and I am only 15 minutes in. The importance of happiness to our health is often overlooked. I especially loved your homeschooling us about homeschooling and how kind it is to our children. Thank you so much
