Clothing At Home part 7 and Video

Hello dear ladies!! I hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying peace and contentment with your home.

The video is imbedded at the end of this post.

The rain left a nice puddle, so I floated my little boat, just for the peace and quiet.

The outfit I wore today was a purchased cotton skirt and blouse that when worn together looks like a dress.

Walmart was originally a store for people in the country where they could get shoes, clothes,
household items and fabric all in the same store. It is now located in higher populated areas. I bought these items there and at the dollar store and the tractor farm supply store.

I’m trying to share how ladies at home can dress in cotton fabrics and feel dressed up. I know some of you don’t make your own clothes as much as I do, so I am showing how you can dress just as nicely with store bought.

I would like to share here how I make this one outfit work at home and when going elsewhere. Add a coat or cardigan in colder weather.

For housework, I try to wear one of my aprons that matches the color of the outfit.

There are different ways to pose this outfit. Above, the plaid scarf, (also from the dollar store) and
below, the lace shawl,

...and another dollar store scarf with colors in the print similar to the blue navy in the blouse.

The
gloves are from the dollar store, and the cloth shoes are from the Walmart.

By the way, Walmart got its name from its founder, Sam Walton.  I saw an amusing answer to a younger person who asked "Why is it called Walmart?" The person who was with her did not know, so he said, "Because they used to sell walls, and now they sell everything else."

You will be encouraged by what I read from this book:

This is the song with the words, "help me Lord, to do the best I can."  It is good to include singing in your curriculum at home and this is a great song to sing that feeds your mind the best!

Enjoy doing something at home while you listen .

  1. oh, How i love your videos, and these two new ones are no exception. Your outfit with the beads is really flattering; the white beads near your face are lovely.
I have been so inspired by you to dress more "fancy" and have recently bought two dresses, a third one ordered today. none are expensive. The one i wore yesterday as I listened to the video was from the Walmart online for $38 ... It is well made ,100% cotton shirtwaist style and I feel amazing in it.
The video about home weddings brought so many memories. I had a beautiful but fairly simple ,by southern standards, wedding and had the reception in my parents' home. 1978
Our eldest son and his wife had a beautiful church wedding; she and her mom made her wedding gown , her sisters and close friends did the flowers and dear friends brought dishes of their very best recipes for the reception which was in the church garden. They also served tea in china teacups they had collected at flea markets during their engagement.
. It was the best wedding I've been to!
    sometime would you discuss reverence?

  2. I love your channel. I don't always comment however I always listen while I'm working at home dressing or styling my hair. I don't think your videos are too long, if someone finds them too long, they can always watch the rest at a convenient time.

  4. Good morning,
What a delight this was to listen to as I made pancakes for my son. I agree that longer videos are nice and can be paused. The videos are delightful and just don't seem long enough 🥰
However, I appreciate the time you take- no matter how long they are. It was a pleasure listening to a new video.
