I am happy that you showed a photo of your red dress. It is so pretty!

After watching this video, I was inspired to make quick sketches of my summer dresses. I had several more than I thought, and put them in a section of my wardrobe where they’ll be easily seen - and actually worn!

I completely agree with your comment that nobody likes to be TOLD what they should do, especially if the teller has an unappealing appearance, negative conversation or dictatorial manner.

To be gentle, kind, considerate and modest in your manner and clothing; to wear pretty and feminine dress, and have a genuine open smile, edifying conversation, and a way of listening that makes each individual feel valued and special - I think that would be a wonderful way to inspire and encourage other women.

True. It is one thing to claim to be a mentor but it won’t be effective if ladies aren’t drawn to our message. We have to look to ourselves first and remove any barriers that might prevent ladies from dressing up.

Hello, I just LOVE your dress- the color is stunning! What a lovely style. This type of clothing is new to me- in that I didn't grow up with homemade clothes and sadly liked to go along with the "fashions". However, after you've been sharing the styles and things you've made and worn, I realize just how blind I was to it all. Thank you for sharing this and I am going to be paying more attention to truly beautiful and modest clothing. 💜
P.s. Did you make that dress or did you buy it?

Mrs. Sherman, thank you for this fashion broadcast! I sat listening without even sewing today but I did pick up some fabric recently and have great plans for improvement! We must have grown up with similar sentiments around us that made us feel as though liking clothing and pretty things was shallow and unimportant. I agree with what you said and I always thought God made his world so beautiful why are we do shun beauty as though it’s so trite? Anything can be used for sin or wrong but to simply enjoy good things and thank God for them is something that makes life better. What good insight on how will young women even listen to older women if we all look bedraggled!! So true!
