We are enduring the times as best we can! (ala Jane Austen)
Thank you to those who urge me to continue blogging and vlogging!!
A lady from church gave me this beautiful crochet bouquet and I want to show how it is made:
I use the excellent theme Coloring books for drawing ideas, home inspiration and what early home educators called “ delight learning.” The ones you see here are from Dover Publications.
In the video I read from this Eric Sloane book about courtesy, which is a Biblical term meaning “ care and concern for others.”
I showed a picture of my great grandparents of Vera, Texas.
(Dates and names to be added soon)
Please enjoy your home while you listen, and comment if you can.
For those of you who have asked about the subject of difficult people I have gleaned a few bits of knowledge from Jefferson Fisher that were helpful. There is also someone who approaches this from a Biblical viewpoint, a lady named Kris Reece. Check out their video lists and see what you can glean.

I am also going to order the Jane Austen devotional book
Hi Lydia, I watch your videos every time you post. I feel so blessed. Today I ordered the Coloring book Beauty Bows, and Lace. I have the bows in different colors. I'm Latin and Dutch born in America. I always pray to God that I enjoy been a woman of a gentle and meek spirit. Thank you for your encouragement and God bless you!
I was struck by your suggestion of copying the poses similar to the ladies in paintings of Edward B Leighton. It seems to me that by studying the paintings with that in mind, we may begin to find ourselves naturally becoming more feminine and quietly confident in our daily life
