Conversation at Home Part 3

Hello Readers and Listeners!

Thank you for keeping in touch with me when I have not posted in awhile. I am getting more busy at home and the demands on my time have increased.

The wild butter cup flowers are so vivid in this season.

My friend Dahlia brought me these flowers from her garden. Thank you!!!

I recently bought some peel and stick removable wall paper squares (tiles)from Dollar Tree,

to cover this box, which comes from grocery stores these days. The back peels off and the design can be applied and rearranged because it is removable.

The back of the paper shows the various ways it can be used.

One of the things I talked about in the video was a quote from the Queen of Sheba, telling Solomon that "the half has never yet been told." In 1 Kings chapter 10.

The Queen of Sheba told King Solomon, "The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true...indeed, not even half was told me....you have far exceeded the report I heard."

Here is a song that bears that title:

Please enjoy your home while you listen to my report today:

Dear Lydia, what a treat to see a new viideo from you this morning! As always, I will listen to it again - there are so many things of interest contained in it. how clever to wallpaper the box and have something lovely and useful. God bless you today and always.

I do like the idea of the “wallpaper”. Your box looks so attractive and robust. I will be looking for this here in the UK. It’s easy to come across cardboard boxes especially nice sturdy boxes from things we have bought. I think these would be good for separating different knitting or sewing patterns, in matching wallpapers, and lining them up on a shelf or in a cupboard

I haven't yet listened to this particular broadcast, but it's been a while since I chimed in. I'm still making my way through your wonderfully long catalog of broadcasts...sometimes on a Saturday when I am in chore-mode I may listen to three or four of them. It is so nice to have a friendly, encouraging voice in my ear (especially when things are hard at home). Sometimes if I'm on a longer drive I'll listen to one, and I've been down sick a few times here and there - again you are a friend to me when my other friends and family aren't around (we are scattered geographically across the country!).

The flowers from your friend are lovely - pink and yellow roses is my new favorite combination! I have a lovely print by Redoute of a little bouquet like yours.

I love the covered box! I've never used wallpaper - I will have to try that. I have used contact paper on a few things. I covered a white five-gallon bucket in an ivy print to hold dirty rags before they get washed, and I covered some pegboard in my sewing room with a nice faux-fence print. Prettier!

I look forward to hearing this broadcast soon.

Much love in Christ,
~Karen

Karen, this is a peel off backing and can be removed from the item it is placed on. Contact paper is similar in that the backing peels off ( not as easily as these peel and stick squares). It’s called wallpaper but it’s a removable contact paper with a water proof surface like contact paper. Real wallpaper has to be dipped in water and won’t work on cardboard . I hope your dollar tree store has a variety. It’s nice to hear from you.

Lovely to have you here again.

It can be removed from whatever it is placed on but I never do, because it doesn’t wrinkle or stick in the wrong places. Goes on very smoothly.

Very interesting way to use the wall paper. Very pretty 😊.

Good to see you, I’ll be getting over to the dollar tree soon, your use of the peel and stick wallpaper has given me a few ideas for some projects. Thank you again😊

Thank you, dear Lydia, for making the time to come here and create a video for us. I enjoyed listening to this one. For most of the time I just sat down and listened, as I've been feeling poorly lately. I particularly liked what you said about needing to do something creative every day. I agree! What I like to do best is gardening, though sadly my garden is mostly filled with weeds this year due to being ill. I do love to do what I can though. I like to grow flowers for cutting, fresh vegetables, and also herbs I can use to make teas and medicines.

I also wanted to say that those wild buttercups are so beautiful! We don't have anything like that in my area of the continent. The ones in your photo look similar to california poppies, which I have grown in the garden before.

Some people say those are California poppies and others insist they are buttercups.
