I mentioned Edmund B. Leighton's paintings in the "Images" article below. Here are a few of them: The lord of the Manor, Sweet Solitude, Stitching the Standard, A Favor, and Waiting. These were painted in the Victorian period.

I was wondering if you would advise me on some art choices. I'm decorating a room in our home for an older child we hope to adopt, a girl. I'd like to surrounder her with images of women in the manner you discussed. Can you point me toward some artists? Thank you. Mrs. Annie C.
I can't stop reading your blog. It has really motivated me, not just that I am right to be at home, but to create a more peaceful atmosphere, a simpler way of living. My life does not have to be chaos. The art work itself is motivating. THANK YOU!
My favourite Edmund Leighton painting is "Off", the face of the lady in the painting is so expresive. I have seen the original and it is fantastic. Unfortunately my copy was damaged.

Try someone named Munier, and also Frederick Morgan if you want children's pictures. Go to allposters and type in the last name.
Thank you!
