Pink Calla Lily

It has been busy around here and many of my plans have been out aside. I am stopping for a moment and sharing a Calla Lily I received on my birthday recently, and also leave a scripture. I was so delighted to see a pink Calla Lily, although I still like the white ones. This is a fresh accessory to my house and I plan to add a white one later.

Also, since picnic season is upon us, or maybe has been all winter as many people pack a hamper when they are going out a little longer and need refreshment, I want to show you some paper picnic supplies that are available here.

Look for picnic baskets here.

Hebrews 11:6    But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This is a verse that takes quite a bit of pondering, as there are many aspects within it that make up the whole. In a world where people are naturally interested in rewards, it is interesting that faith in God brings reward.

A small bouquet of flowers (in a salt shaker jar) have sprung up unattended around here: from the left - lavender lilac, bright pink unknown, English daisy, keys of heaven, pink columbine, and white lilac. The scent is like something in the home-scent store, and I would like to bottle it up and send it to everyone. When scratch and sniff is invented for the computer, we will have really made progress.

MMMMMmmmm! I can just smell the aroma! No need to scratch and sniff. "Keys of Heaven" is a new name to me. I'll have to look up that flower and see it closer. The pink calla is beautiful. Hope your birthday was a very happy day!

Dear Lydia, I love those little flowers that just say Spring!
Happy Birthday to you, and I also want to add Happy Mothers Day...
I have a large mirror in my living room that has white Calla Lilies on it. It belonged to my Grandmother.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Yes a scratch and sniff button would be nice, or maybe a taste tester also! And we thought computers were so smart LOL

I always thought it was called Keys of Heaven because it is a weed that grows around old church houses. It is also an herb...valerian, I think. Type in "keys of Heaven flower" and click images to see what they look like. People pull them up and get rid of them because in some places they are considered weeds.

The pink calla lily is lovely. I've never seen pink ones.
I also like your little bouquet of flowers. I don't buy fresh flowers often, but when I do, I love the beauty and the the ambience they bring to a room. Some, like alstromeria, last a long time. The colors are beautiful, too. I don't have many flowers in my garden, but sometimes I'll just bring in greenery and make an arrangement to add a touch of color and nature.

The flower buds of Keys of Heaven kind of remind me of the flowers of kalanchoe plant.

They had other colors in the Safeway grocery store today. I saw a purple one and a peach one.

Thank you for sharing the calla and the meaningful Bible verse. I like how you set your little bouquet upon the crocheted doily. It adds a special touch.
