Hello Dear Ones,
Thank you for being so patient and checking back here often. All is well here but I have been so busy and time constricted due to pressing things here at home, as is common in an older house: an old floor in the kitchen was replaced, a new front door installed, leaking pipes fixed, and roof repair. I do all Mr. S.' s errands, since he doesn't want to drive anymore. We often have one of our children or a grandchild come and do that but last month was very busy.
In the morning I caught this foggy scene, which looks like castles.
In the evening, this came.
I found the most red pumpkin ,
and after the descendants went to their respective homes, I changed the living room look with white covers.
Of course I get a chuckle out of photographing my own "Pemberly" reflection after a rain leaves a lake.
I have my notes all ready to give you a nice long lecture and run your lives once again, and hopefully the rush will be over soon so I can attend to that sacred duty.

So good to hear from you! Look forward to your video.💕
You captured some really pretty scenes. I like your photos!
Glad to hear that you are doing well. We all have busy times. Busy isn't bad, though.
I’m looking forward with delight to speaking to you again!!! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I just watched Pride and Prejudice (1990s version) again and love the dress and the tour of Pemberly!
Lovely photos and I'm looking forward to another video once you have time to do so.
Yes! We have missed you. Glad all is well and that you’ve been getting some things fixed. Thank you for the lovely photos!❤️
I’m glad to hear you’re doing well—I’ve very much missed your talks! So I’ve been going back to relisten to older ones.
I absolutely love how you completely change the look of your parlour with the covers!
Wonderful pics as well! I could see the castles too.
I'm glad you are doing well, I was wondering if all was okay😍
Mrs. Sherman, I love your blog and your videos. It’s one of the only wholesome places to go on the internet as I try to stay “untrained from the world” as the book of James tells us is a good thing to do. I always hope you are well when much time lapses without a post. I am glad your house has some updates before winter. What beautiful photographs. It is such a treat to see what you share here be it weather, tea, decor, books, or fashion. Thank you for posting to cheer us up and cheer us on.
Thank you kind ladies!!! I have my draft ready with photos and my notes and quotes all written and I hope to broadcast on video soon. Keep praying God will enable it!!
A twin size blanket or sheet covers the chair almost adequately and a full size sheet or blanket covers the sofa. The sofa is 4 foam chairs that fold out into beds, and then can be stacked into a sofa. I used to long for a matching set of furniture but this method is very flexible as I can change it at will. Now if I could figure out how to change the color of a carpet ( area rug) without getting a new one. I would think one could use a quilt or a comforter on the floor like when our children were little, but not sure it would work.
So happy to hear all is well. It certainly sounds like you've had the good kind of busy🙂
Those photos of the clouds and castle are just beautiful.
You make me laugh that you are coming back to "run our lives"..I just love your sense of humor!
God bless you.🏡🧡🕯️
I am glad to hear from you today! I enjoy when you do get to post here or on youtube. Your pictures are so beautiful today too! Thank you for sharing with us. I will keep praying for God to give you the right time to come share with us.
I love seeing your photographs, glad to hear all is well, you are missed.
Good day to you Miss Lydia. It is so good to hear from you and to know all is well. Good things are going on in your home! We live in a 1939 house so I understand the need for fixing up!
Beautiful photos on the post. " See" you soon...
So good of you to check in with us all. Autumn is the loveliest of seasons. Beautiful photos. Looking forward to your next radio broadcast.
Your words are well worth waiting for. I usually go back to previous post and get “fed” with wise advice.
I’ll wait patiently for you to recover.
So glad to hear all is well. We have been preparing for winter's arrival, so it's been busy here too. Getting snow stakes out, moving the extra water tank to haul water when irrigation runs dry in the summer - got put away, firewood stacked..next is cozy thicker blankets put out and quilt changes are a must.
Thank you for the tip on sizes for chair and couch. I have a green bedspread that I use on the couch and change to off white for winter (it matches the snow), but one is too big. The Thrift shop had this high quality one and I couldn't resist. It's pretty, but hangs long so I just tuck it under the edge of the couch.
I would love a mini tutorial of how to make those burgandy satin pumpkins. What is the inside or base? How big to make the circle of fabric? That would be a fun project.
In God's timing. As I'm ageing, everything takes longer to do. It used to frustrate me because so much still has to be done. Now, with a bit of declutter those things that stress me, I'm learning to accept the slower process. Though I'm still in that acceptance phase ;-)
Blessings to you and Mr S.
I love when you post photos around the manse. I especially love the “castles” on this post.
