Dear Lydia,

Thank you for always choosing to dress up for us. It is a great source of inspiration, and it brings elegance and dignity to your blog and video posts. Coincidentally, I was cleaning my closet and going through my clothing; sorting out fall and winter wardrobe for the cool weather months. I inspected the items for loose buttons, ripped seams, etc...
After hearing about Booker T. Washington, I was more attentive to these details. This was a longer video that kept my mind happily engaged while I worked today. 😊

Blessings,
Holly

I'm wearing an old favorite dress from when my son was little. Both my husband and son said it was their favorite...it's just for the house though, too threadbare! You mentioned mending and I saw a tear as I put it on, so while listening to you I did laundry and mending of several items. Thanks!

Lydia,

Good Morning from El Paso!

Thank you so much for the uplifting and beautiful video. I so enjoyed your reading from Booker T. Washington and gleaning knowledge of much needed reminders to elevate our daily chores.

Pray all is better in Oregon, I know the weather has improved Praise the Lord from whom ALL blessings flow!

Love,
April

I've enjoyed your readings from the Booker T Washington book so much, that I am definitely going to have to purchase a copy for myself. I think it would be a great book to have a highschooler read, as well. It's just filled with important life lessons and good common sense.

The Autumn Bliss magazine you shared looks beautiful - and how interesting that you compared it to the old Ideals magazine. A dear friend sent me an Ideals magazine from the 1990s earlier this year, and I enjoyed it so much that I've since bought several more issues from Thrift Books, where they can be found for only a few dollars. I find that this magazine is the perfect thing for me to read during my afternoon tea break - beautiful photos and illustrations, sentimental poetry, and interesting articles about arts and crafts, antiques and so forth. When I have my afternoon tea, I always try to find something to read that is pretty and gentle to the mind - I can worry about all the problems in the world the rest of the day! Victoria magazine is also very good for this, but Ideals is my favourite because of all the poetry. :)
