Violas, Snow, Lace and Sipping

Hello Dear Ladies,
I have a mind full of things to tell you and am getting nearer to doing that on a broadcast.

In my previous broadcast I described the history of  handmade lace and handiwork. These are are some from my collection which I inherited.

Here are a few things going on around The Manse.

New couch cover and cushions. The covering has arm sections and a back section that makes it fit well. I like it better than slip-covers.

Snow on the hills in a pattern of sorts. It is always interesting to see what parts lie bare when it snows over there.

Stealth sipping.

Violas coming out from under the blanket of snow:

Every year I plan to sew the dress with the viola print.

Please visit my Pinterest sometime to see more things to inspire your days at home.

Little girls clothes seen in a local shop:

Message to manufacturers: Please give us some grown-up outfits like these! They are multi-generational designs; feminine without being formal and great for the home.

Beautiful pictures, you have been missed, I've been watching reruns of your videos, love them all. I feel the same way about the little girls clothing I've always pointed things out to my husband when we go out and I tell him why can't they make clothes and shoes like this for us. Their clothes are just so sweet. Hope you have a lovely week and post another video soon. I ordered tea from peach blossom tea company that you talked about, I have that to look forward to🤗. Lydia can you talk about your sewing soon? I have been making maxi skirts and I started an English paper piecing quilt. I am absolutely loving my sewing right now and crochet.

Hi Lydia,

Oh! My yes! Why don’t they make more women’s clothing thing like the ones you found in the children’s section of your local department store?? All the matching jackets over the printed dresses... simply beautiful!

I have a teacup identical to the one you’re presently stealth sipping from.It was from my grandmother’s collection. 😊I love the photo of the violas breaking forth through the snow. A sure sign that spring is on its way. Thank you for sharing all these pictures and the link to your Pintrest account. I am heading over to get more ideas and to take in all the loveliness.

Blessings, ❤️Holly

Holly does your teacup have a matching saucer? Mine was what is called an orphan cup and I had to get a saucer as similar as possible.

I also love the girls' clothes. They remind me of some outfits I saw on the Blair website:

eagerly awaiting your new post!

I agree they should make more femine clothes for women. I went to the shopping centre near me for clothes shopping and very few nice dresses available. Mainly pants and tops. I had to end up ordering online. I would love more content on raising a family biblically, with activities, raising babies and young ones, dealing with teenagers ect. I came from a very dysfunctional home so I'm learning everything as I gon on.
