An inspiring description of homelife sent to me by a reader, written in 1894, can be found here:
http://www.gracegems.org/SERMONS2/Miller_home.htm It has been posted on some other forums and blogs recently. Seems worth getting a copy of for your family.

Thank you for sharing this link.
I especially enjoyed this sentence: Wherever a true wife comes, home is always around her. The stars may be the canopy over her head, the glow-worm in the night's cold grass be the fire at her feet, but home is where she is; and for a noble woman it stretches far around her,—better than houses with ceilings of cedar, or with paintings of the masters, shedding its quiet light for those who else were homeless."

Thanks for the link. I look forward to reading the article.
I printed this off & decided to use it in my Bible reflection time this morning - thank you so much I so enjoyed it & have filed it in my faith journal. We have some health issues in my home at the moment and I am to be confirmed into my church the day after tomorrow so I especially needed to read this today - thank you.

Here is a J.R. Miller site; his home-life article here starts with a Preface:

This is such a beautiful picture of what home should be...I'm a new bride, and I have hung this on our fridge for my husband and I to consult when we need to. :)
Blessings!
