Since, in an election, you can vote only once, at the prescribed time, I will show here how you can vote as much as you like, daily, by calling your senators and representatives, whom you elected to represent your interestes.
When you hear about something like this so-called bail out of the Big Bankers (a private corporation that makes money by writing it themselves, and then charges interest on the worthless figures, and taxes people with their own real money, earned, to pay it back), you can simply call all your senators and representatives and talk on the phone for half a minute, urging them NOT to give the bankers ONE cent of America's hard earned money. Every phone call is a vote, and the senators do pay attention to it.
This lady has a good quote about the lenders here http://neverfadingwood.blogspot.com/2008/10/former-president-andrew-jackson-speaks.html
Our Constitution forbids anyone to create money except for Congress. It is unconstitutional to allow the International Bankers to control the money. The Federal Reserve act gave this private company, called "The Federal Reserve" the power to control America's money, and it is an unconstitutional act, as well as an unconstitutional and illegal organization. When a president is inaugurated, he promises to uphold the Constitution. Make the president obey the Constitution, by calling your senator and urging him to say "no" to the President and "no" to the big bankers.
If they can create money out of nothing, why can't they write themselves a check or print off more money off their printing presses at the so called "federal" (it isn't federal at all. They use that word to make it sound governmental and official) reserve (nope, folks, there is no reserve). Let them pay themselves back! They don't actually need the money. They are greedy people who aren't going to starve or lose their houses if they don't get someone to pay them. Where I live, there are whole neighborhoods of reposessed homes, which the banks were anxious to have vacated when people could not pay their mounting interest on the loans, and which the banks now are unable to sell. What are bankers going to do with all these empty houses? I keep waiting for a tent-city to emerge, to accommodate the new middle-class homeless in our country.
Read this hilarious response from Senator Nancy Pelosi., who was in the meeting. (Although I don't like all her policies, I am glad that even the most leftist politicians are seeing through the ruse of the International Bankers).

Now let me see if I can tell the story in a simple way: After a secret meeting of top bankers, the so-called "Federal Reserve," which is neither federal, nor reserve, controls our money through an illegal act, which was voted on when Congress was on vacation back in the early 1900's, to allow a private banking corporation to control all of the money issued in America. By getting ahold of the money system, they were able to lend it out and charge exorbitant usuary (interest). When they want to, they can "call" the loans and people, who are used to paying small, manageable payments on their loans for houses or cars, cannot suddenly pay the whole sum, so the bank repossesses the properties.
It is important to put a stop to these people, because they want to own America and own the world. They use the money they create (and make us pay them back) to finance wars on countries that refuse to bank with them. This forces the countries to borrow to finance their wars, and then they are in league with the bankers, who continue to control them forever. Any time you hear on the media (also owned by the bankers) of a squirmish or political problem in a country that is not with these national banks, you can bet the bankers are behind it.
Show your husband this film on U Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJYnHyjhfo
and also here http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=8702
I have found that even 7 year old children can understand these films about the crooked way to bank.
Not all the film is shown there, but you can purchase the DVD set. One reason no one "votes" by calling their congressman, is that they are led to believe that these people are financial experts and that it is so complicated a system, that they cannot understand it. These films give you an idea of just how the International Bankers create poverty, inequality, strife between men and women, strife in religion, and strife in the world, by the things they finance.
I hope it is not too late to call your senators. Every phone call is a vote, and you can call more than once. When a few people call, the senators know something is going on, but when just 20 people call, they know there is a real "movement." They hold executive positions in this country, and like any other executive, they can be fired. Let them know their job is on the line and if they do not vote "no" they will not get your vote in the next election.
Does it bother anyone that a meeting on this matter with the President and the bankers took place "behind closed doors?" I thought this was America, in the 21st century, not Jekyl Island in the 19th century. It should have been televised.
Ladies I know I did not do a very good job of explaining this, and there are a lot of smart men out there who will correct me on some of the details, but I tried to write it simply, but the main point is that you should use your right to vote, to vote early, and vote often, by calling your senators.
If you live elsewhere, I know that even a phone call from someone overseas has a great impact (sometimes it impresses them even more to get a call from Africa, England, Australia, Bulgaria, or where-ever) on a senator's vote. If you live outside of the U.S., you should be concerned about this, because what the bankers do, can affect your country. Use your online resources to send a message, if you can.
Also, check out what one congressman has to say here:
(Regarding the paintings: The International Bankers Will Pinch a Penny, even if they already control everything)
Remember: Vote early and vote often!
My daughter and I each exercised another option this morning, after getting our mail. Each of us received an offer from a big bank (Chase Manhatten, Lehman, etc) for a loan. We receive these offers regularly. I am always turned down because I don't have credit, or something. This time, we took the business reply envelope, with the "postage paid" stamp on it, and we cut out a piece of the original envelop that the offer was sent in, and wrote on it: "Why don't you give yourselves a loan and bail yourselves out, instead of putting pressure on Congress and putting me in further debt? " I then wrote the website addresses of several sites and videos that explained this crooked banking system. It took less than 2 minutes and the postage was free. It also bothers me that these offers contain better and better paper, slick, fancy envelopes, and colorful ads, that must cost them something. I can't even buy that kind of paper myself. They are only adding to my trash problem and then I have to stay awake at night thinking of uses for this garbage so that it won't end up in the landfill. So I also told them to take me off their mailing list.
What does any of this have to do with home living? If I allowed this dishonesty to go on in my own home, we would certainly suffer the consequences, and be loathe to do it again. However, the big bankers never suffer the consequences of their greedy ways. When they get their way, our home gets poorer and poorer, as our taxes go higher and higher. Every homemaker should be active in putting a stop to this, even if all they do is make one phone call or send one email. For those of you who do not want to worry about politics and just want to get on with having a wonderful home life, be sure to read my article here called "How To Stop Worrying About Politics"
Before this piece goes to archives, here is a summary:
1. The Constitution is the highest law of the land.
2. The President is legally obligated to uphold the constitution.
3. The Constitution states that no money should be issued by anyone but the U.S. Government.
4. The so called "Federal Reserve" , which is neither federal, nor reserve, a private banking company, owned by elitists who control many banks all over the world, illegally issue printed money to the US and charges the citizens interest for the use of the worthless paper.
5. This banking group lends "money" to smaller banks to help finance houses for citizens. The interest rate increases, like raising rent, until people cannot pay anymore. The smaller banks cannot pay the larger banks, and the big bankers now want Congress to use our taxes to pay them. They can easily eliminate usuary and lose nothing. They have enough income themselves to bail themselves out. They are illegally running the banking system and we do not need them. We need to retrieve all the things that belong to the US and kick the bankers out.
6. It will not be long before the atttention is taken off these high classed thieves, the illegal bankers at the "top" and put on the people at the bottem, who just wanted a nice house. You wait and see, if the press will not create the blame on everyone around them except the elitist bankers. You will find your friend's and family's minds changing on this issue, and when you express yourself, you will be told that the situation is just "not as black and white as you think it is." The media will make sure that the population develops a "nuetral" opionion on this.
7. If Congress does not agree to their plans, the bankers will threaten and intimidate them with depression, bankruptsy and other government woes. The news media is owned by these bankers and it won't be long before you, yourself, will be convinced that something has to be done to bail them out, or we will all face a depression and lose our homes. No one will consider getting rid of the international banker grip on our country. They will soon be convinced by the media that it is "everyone's fault," and that we all "share" the blame, and these rich people will continue to control the economy. Be sure to watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68JUWYEc0Fg&feature=user
and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEWvegDAtkQ
8. The bankers involved are not elected officials. They get themselves appointed in high places in government, on staff in offices of the elected officials, in order to influence and control them.
Apparently Sweden had a similar problem a few years ago and refused to bail out the bankers. I don't know much about that country, but I haven't heard that it collapsed as a result. Read more here http://tpa.typepad.com/waste/2008/09/the-simple-shop.html
It is considered a step toward socialism, here http://matadorpulse.com/10-resons-we-should-say-no-to-the-700-billion-dollar-bailout/
One reason I will not buy the idea that it is "everyone's fault" is that the big bankers have been writing money illegally for years, and pushing it on others. My sil worked for a mortgage company, that made cold calls all day long to people who were not looking for money or houses, to give them the big sell, and talk them into multiplying rate loans (which they did not know about until their payments increased). Getting rid of the bankers will get rid of this kind of lending.
They are now coming out with super-soft-voiced comments on National Public Radio, trying to soothe people by saying that throwing money at this problem is the only way to solve it. Let me ask something: if someone whose surname began with a "P" was paid millions of dollars a year to work in an industry that failed, would you keep hiring him?
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
... The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushed its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating. -Thomas Jefferson History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance. -James Madison
If congress has the right under the Constitution to issue paper money, it was given them to use themselves, not to be delegated to individuals or corporations. -Andrew Jackson
The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity. -Abraham LincolnIssue of currency should be lodged with the government and be protected from domination by Wall Street. We are opposed to...provisions [which] would place our currency and credit system in private hands. - Theodore Roosevelt
Despite these warnings, Woodrow Wilson signed the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. A few years later he wrote: I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men. -Woodrow Wilson
Years later, reflecting on the major banks' control in Washington, President Franklin Roosevelt paid this indirect praise to his distant predecessor President Andrew Jackson, who had "killed" the 2nd Bank of the US (an earlier type of the Federal Reserve System). After Jackson's administration the bankers' influence was gradually restored and increased, culminating in the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. Roosevelt knew this history. The real truth of the matter is,as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government ever sincethe days of Andrew Jackson... -Franklin D. Roosevelt (in a letter to Colonel House, dated November 21, 1933)

Your right about everything. I do feel bad for the people who are going to lose their homes though.
You are right about everything. Go to www.jesus-is-savior.com. Research Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones, 9/11,etc. This is shocking.

The bankers are an elite group of people who are very bigoted. Just have a look at who they are. They are not "international," at all, but only represent one group of people.
When they feel desperate for money from Congress, they will say they want to help out the poor homeowners who are going to lose their homes.
Do not believe them.
They will not give them back their homes.
They will not give them back their money, even though they took their homes.
You know the movie where George told his staff that Potter was not selling, he was buying? These people are TAKING. They aren't even selling.
And as for the home owners. They will just finance another group of people into a loan that is "variable", meaning that the interest rate goes up all the time, so that they in turn cannot pay, and they will also steal their homes. These aren't compassionate people. They are thieves.
If I came to your street and told each home owner that I was wanted their money because I was in debt, do you think they would give it to me?
If I came to your street and offerred to "help" you take care of your money so it would be "safe," and got you to hand it over, and in return I gave you a piece of paper as a receipt, and you started to have to trade the receipts for your commerce, and then I charged you for using those receipts I gave you, would you think that was fair?
Thanks, LL. I knew there was something terribly fishy about this; my in-laws and husband and I have been talking about it for the last two days, and none of us could make much sense of it, aside from knowing it is wrong and suspicious. Truth doesn't require reams of obfuscation.
Lydia,
I am so glad that you spoke out about this!
I emailed my senator!
This is a great video!

I am glad to see that you put this on your blog. This is something that I have learned about within the last year and has been greatly disturbing to me. I think it is something that every US citizen needs to know and understand. The constitution as written is being ignored and ripped to shreds by the some of the very people who have pledged to protect the constitution. It has been happening little by little over many years and seems to be accelleratinig. Little changes and laws are enacted here and there taking away freedoms and allowing government to have more and more control either now or in the future. These disturbing changes are made without so much as two sentences in the mass media, hiding the fact that our freedoms have been taken away piece by piece. It makes you wonder who controls our television, radio and newspapers. The internet is still pretty much a free source of information, but there are those who wish to control that as well.
Our founding fathers were keen and intelligent people. They had great foresight. The constitution is a leading document of freedom loving people. Is it any wonder that there are greedy tyrants who wish to destroy it and control money in this world. There are people who say such things are just crackpot conspiracy theories, but all you have to do is look around, read and learn to understand these things for yourself. This country is deeply troubled and the American people have been lulled into a stupor by their own comfort and ease. Turn off the television, awake and start looking around. Read history. Read current events. Read scripture. Ask God what you can personally do to make this world a better place and to stop evil.
I might also add that there is an alternative to the two main parties running for presidency. Check out the Constitutional Party or the Libertarians. There may be others, but these two I am aware of.
I also suggest that you take a look at the website of Freedom Force International.
You wonder who is behind the media? I don't. It is the very people who control the money. Their tight fisted grip on our economy and their "lending" us their printed money and charging us for its use, makes billions of dollars for them to promote whatever they want to corrupt our country and to commit any kind of genocide in any other country they want. Just look at the surnames of these bankers and those in the "Fed" and you will see they globalists and part of an elite group who hate God.
Be sure to watch the films I posted and also to order "The Money Masters" if you can.
Our constitution is the rule of the land, but people ignore it so they can present a "living" constitution, which changes at every whim. They know Americans love law, so they just change the law in order to accommodate every vile thing.
Amen, Lady.
All I can add is to this discussion is "turn off your television."
That thing pretty much dictates the opinions and prejudices of 95 percent of the population, whether they call themselves "Republican" or "Democrat."
I just called my senator. For the shy, it may help to know that you'll likely wind up talking to an answering machine anyway; the message asked for my name and addy and my senator then sends out a boilerplate letter about whatever issue you mentioned.
That's what happened when I called her about the amnesty issue, anyway. lol.
Doesn't feel like much, but every little bit, eh? (all those irate people calling about amnesty for illegal aliens DID seem to have some effect!)
I sent those links to my husband. I am so happy this information is out there, so we can open our eyes. Thank you for this post.

I did not post three questions, which I will combine, here:
1. You get to vote more than once in four years, don't you? Yes, but you vote only at election time, only once, only on the selected day. As a lobbyist, or someone who talks to senators daily, you vote all the time. That is why phone calls and emails make a greater impact.
2. But will this help us? No, the bank bail out will not help the common man much, as the money will not come to us to help us pay our debts or our houses, etc. It helps only the big bankers. They are threatening Congress to "do something" or else there will be a depression. That group already admitted that their group was responsble for creating the Depression early in the 20th century. It is a game they are playing, to hurt the American people, and create a need for war. It is a game of monopoly which they will always win. If they lent out money that did not exist, why should anyone pay it back? Why can't we write them an I.O.U. or put a dollar amount on a piece of our own colored paper and give it to them? It is hypocritical because they can force us to use their play money but we can't use our play money to pay them back. We use our labor and our paychecks, which to us, is real money that pays our way. These people are crooked as a dog's leg.
3. But what if our votes do not work and nothing changes and we can't get the bankers out of our system? Even if it doesn't work, doing the right thing will bring benefits to us personally, as God always blesses those who do what is right. It is not right to let people steal or to sanction it from the Presidency. So, even if they get their own way, God will remember the people who said "no."
Thanks for a great post Lady Lydia..."The borrower is the SLAVE to the lender" no one has cared about this Bible verse for decades but now the chickens have come home to roost and many are losing their cars and homes because they JUST HAD TO HAVE IT now. Sorry, I am very angry about this whole thing. The General and I have busted our butts for years, done without for years to get ourselves where we are and we get SLAMMED with taxes (more than HALF his pay is taxed). We bought a house we could afford, We bought cars we could afford, We DO NOT BUY things we can not afford...AND NOW THEY WANT TO TAX US TO BAIL OUT A BUNCH OF GREEDY IDIOTS...NO THANK YOU ...let the great fall happen. Yes, there are those that had emergencies and things out of the ordinary happen. Yes, it is the GRACE of God it isn't us...but it is ALSO obeying God that it isn't us and I am sick and tired of seeing The General's pay check raped and pillaged to provide "services" and, where it really goes, corruption.
Sorry, but I am tired of all of this and see no end. It seems it will only get worse and Washington will never be happy unless they have us all out in the workforce all with chains upon our neck.
Many Blessings :)

I don't live in the US but in the UK, banks are the same the world over. Our governments need to legislate and make more rigorous rules about how the banks operate, their profits and charges to customers, other companies would be in serious trouble if they conducted business in the way that banks do....
A big part of the problem was banks offereing loans to people they knew were bad risks. They dangled low interest rates under their noses and once they were hooked raised the interest rates. The people couldln't refinance so they stopped paying their mortgage.
But the people borrowing the money were behaving just as irresponsibly. They knew they couldn't afford a debt of that size and took out a loan anyway.
Greed was a huge factor on both sides.
If you want to listen to a good explanation of it, go to www.issuesetc.org then click On Demand. Scroll down to September 24th (I think, or nearby) and listen to his interview with Jennifer Rowback Morris. Very informative.
No matter what people's motivation was, it is never right to give out loans with money that does not exist, and charge people interest on it. It is called "fractional" banking. That is one thing that should be outlawed. Fractional lending is that method of lending people a lot of money based on a little money available, so a lot more people get a lot more money but there isnt any money that it is based on. Order that film, "The Money Masters" and it is explained more carefully. The international banker's whole point is to own everything. They lend out money that does not exist and want it paid back, with interest. If I lent you play money, wouldn't you pay me back with more play money? But in their case, they want us to pay them back in real money for their play money.
Ace: it is always nice to hear from you on this blog.
What I failed to put on the original article was that this banking group was the same group that created communism and financed it, in the Soviet Union, right after the Federal Reserve got power over the money, and got the power to create the income tax that financed the whole thing, and continues to finance all the diabolical things in the world that destroy the human spirit and attacks Christian values all over the world. There is only one way to defeat these people, and that is the way Jesus did it: Turn over their money-changing tables and CUT OFF THE MONEY. If we CUT OFF THE MONEY, they have no power.
Since the borrower is slave to the lender, then these bankers will be slaves to US instead of US to them, if we don't bail them out. they don't need bailing out. They can just create more crooked money of their own. They just want to own congress. You think that getting on his knees means Paulson was seriously in trouble? Nonsense. It was an act. He was probably told to do it by his handlers at the Big Bank, so he could stay in the club. They need nothing. They own castles and ranches and houses--they practically own the world, and none of them will starve.
Well said! I have worked in banking over the years and in 2001 I was hearing conversations about "predatory lending" back then - the bankers knew what they were doing long ago.
If you are disgusted with big banks, check out local credit unions. They are often run better and more ethically than the big banks.
I added in bold print, a sentence to the original article, alluding to the secret meetings at Jekyl Island when the bankers plotted to take over the US economy and promote communism by creating the illegal income tax. The Internal Revenue Service is also an illegal secret-government that is NOT elected. They have their own courts and their own judges and their own taxing system, which goes straight into the coffers of these international bankers, to do us direct harm.
I think one of the better explanations of fractional reserve banking is at www.unqualifiedreservations.blogspot.com He also maintains that it is legalized theft.
(The guy's point of view is that democracy is untenable and inevitably slides into corruption-- but his explanations are always fascinating.)
Just to let you know the link to what the congressman has to say regarding this topic does not appear to be working. I even tried to go directly to Pittsburgh live and that too didn't work. It may be that the site is down.
This is a great post - I just wish I understood it more. I remember in the late 60s and early 70s the Saturday morning cartoons would have the "How a bill becomes a law" type cartoon tutorials. I not only understood it, but now I do wish we had some sort of juvenile teaching for a juvenile brain (I'm 43 and college educated and should have paid more attention to micro and macro econmics)as to exactly what happened.
Either way, I did learned a great deal from this post. Thank you
Instead of giving the bankers money to bail them out, why don't we lend them the money? We charge them interest and then if they don't pay up we seize their property.

This video clip is my son in law, whose wife, my daughter, suggested the idea of charging the bankers interest for the bail out. I love his wry humor. I don't know if this is on U-Tube yet or how to put it there.

Thank you for all you shared here Lydia....I was just mentioning to my husband that it reminded me of "It's a Wonderful Life"!! You are good to inform us, warn us and provide us with correct information to follow up on. Love Aiden's video and Lillibeth's comments....
I want to clarify that I don't think the government should be involved.... I think that if we loan the money and forclose on the bank's property when they can't pay our exorbitant interest, we should let our neighbors take their houses back first. If the government handles it all we won't see a bit of the money back.
Anonymous,
I have never met a couple that wanted a home out of "greed." They just found no other way to get a home, except to take a home loan. If they had saved, instead, they would have been able to buy a home outright, as Aiden in the video said, "in three lifetimes." Show me one single "greedy" home owner that lost their home because they bought something they couldn't afford. when they bought the home, they COULD afford it. They were faithful in their payments til the loans were pulled out from under them by the exhorbitant usuary or by the loss of income. I don't know how many "greedy" people you know that bought a home out of greed, but I don't know any. I know really good families, Christians, who just saved up a downpayment and tried to get their families in real houses, as opposed to living with their relatives or friends, in places where the kids could not look out of the windows or play in a yard. Men were just trying to buy homes for their wives, not being greedy. Although I don't have one of these homes and do not own a home, I did once have a house that I lost because of this very thing. It was not a luxurious house and I was not buying out of a greedy spirit.
Janice,
Yes, I remember you! Thanks for posting! Lydia
Lady Lydia,
I think your last comment about your personal situation is obviously completely true. All one has to do is spend five minutes on your blog to see how creative, frugal and generous you are. HOWEVER - there are (sadly) lots and lots and lots of Americans who are NOTHING like you and your family and DID in fact buy homes that were far beyond what they could afford, or need for that matter, and the true motivation was greed. These are the families that would have been fine in a moderate 3 bedroom home but chose to puchase a 5 bedroom home with 4 car garage, bonus room, etc etc. They then proceeded to park their two brand new leased cars in the driveways and fill the house with furniture and flat screen tvs ALL BOUGHT ON CREDIT. This is the greedy attitude that got us to this point. I agree with the commenter who said it is both sides. These are also the same families who spend $800 on groceries per month for their four person family (not including eating out).
I'm sorry but I have no pity for these people when the sky falls. That is not being a good steward of one's money. When these families then chose to abandon their homes and foreclose, it hurts the rest of us.
I think it is a lovely thought that you want to be so generous in spirit towards the people who did things like this. However, it is what my mother used to call 'the school of hard knocks'. They are learning the hard way how to budget and live within one's means. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to now pay to bail them out.
I also do not believe that this can all be blamed on predatory lending. Sure, there may be a few situations where people were truly taken advantage of but for the most part I think people saw an opportunity to get something they knew they could never otherwise afford and jumped on it. That's been going on since the creation of the earth. I truly believe most of these people just chose to blithely disregard the lenders warning that the adjustable rate payments or no interest loans could GO UP. Everyone I know who received such a loan was very astute in their understanding that the payments more than likely would go up. But they wanted to 'seize the day' and get something they could never get in a regular market. That is not being cautious or a good steward.
Oh that more americans would begin to exhibit the frugalness and thoughtfulness in caring for what we are stewards of that you talk of here on this blog.
Take care, and thank you,
-Grace
They rejected it!!!!!!!!!!
The Dow's dropped 500+ points in a very short time.
It is going to be rocky going, but at least this one mistake wasn't made.
On Friday...I called my senators my represetnative, and Nancy Pelosi and left messages (no bail out)..then I sent emails and sent more emails..Shame on them for thinking we are stupid....
and as I am typing this, I see it did not go through...and guess what?

After watching "No Bank Bailout, You Broke It, You Buy It"
here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJYnHyjhfo
I read the comments. Some of them have understood, as I do, that we do not need the "federal reserve" to print money for us and charge us interest on it, and we don't need the international bankers. They live in nice homes and have huge salaries which they help themselves to, for doing no real work. They steal enough money to bail themselves out. I posted this video into the middle of the article. It is actually quite amusing to watch even young people waking up and smelling the coffee. We are not all sheep. The only ones in favor of the bailout seemed to be the ones with foreign accents who worked on Wall Street.
Here is someone who explains it simply http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68JUWYEc0Fg&feature=user
He talks about how people are losing their homes to these bankers
Be sure also to read the comments.
We already live pretty frugal now but I want tips. The stock market is very low now so that is a bad sign for the economy.
Hi Lady Lydia,
I don't have time to find it right now, but I am almost positive that I heard that most of the politicians voting on this are STOCKHOLDERS in these failed institutions. I heard the exact losses they were going to suffer but it was on the radio and I didn't have time to write it down. Nancy Pelosi and Obama were specifically mentioned. If I get a chance I will send you a link. I am sure that there was no incentive (wink wink) for them to try to bailout companies that they were stockholders in.
This type of information has been being posted at survivalblog.com for awhile. He has been telling people to stockpile and get ready. Not to sound like the sky is falling (hey, we just bought furniture...furniture we got a great deal on and paid in cash)...but I think I just felt something fall on my head :)
Thank the Good Lord our hope is in Jesus!
Many Blessings :)

I just left a message on the House website and thanked them for not supporting the bailout...well at least enough of them did not so that it did not pass. We have to be vigilant . And I second Lady Lydia's advice that we can all do our part whether it is emailing or calling.
Both Obama and McCain are in league with the banking groups, to fund their campaigns and get their "marching orders"
John McCain's current circle of confidants seems eerily close to those he surrounded himself with during the Saving and Loans crisis of the late '80s and early '90s, when years and years of deregulation that McCain helped facilitate on behalf of Charles Keating--the disgraced chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings & Loan Association--led to the failure of hundreds of banks and a $125 billion bailout footed by tax payers. The scandal, known as the Keating Five, involved five senators who took money from Charles Keating and subsequently challenged the regulators investigating Keating's operations.

SOME CYNICS SAY THAT Sen. John McCain's recent visit to London to
attend a fundraiser for his presidential candidacy hosted by Lord
Jacob Rothschild of the international banking empire may have been
quite simply a case of McCain going to Rothschild for his marching
orders.
As if to underscore his allegiances, McCain preceded his trip to pay
court to Lord Rothschild with a visit to Israel, the Middle East state
that counts the Rothschild family as among its chief patrons, to the
point that an earlier Rothschild, Edmond, of the Paris-based arm of
the banking family, is honored on Israel's currency today.
McCain was accompanied to the Rothschild gala (and to Israel) by his
good friend and fellow devotee of Israel, Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-
Conn.), who has endorsed McCain and who is often mentioned as either a
vice presidential running mate for McCain or as a likely secretary of
state in a McCain administration.
Although McCain's sponsor, Lord Rothschild (as a citizen of Britain)
is not permitted by American law to make campaign contributions
directly to McCain, he was permitted to host a big-ticket fundraising
reception for McCain attended by Americans in the Rothschild sphere of
influence who were willing to pay a minimum of $1,000 per person for
the privilege of mixing it up with the American presidential candidate
who is clearly the Rothschild family's favorite.

Thank you so much for posting this. My husband and I have been talking about this bail-out thing and really didn't know where to stand. After reading your post, I spent a couple of hours doing my own research and came to the same conclusions, which I will share with my husband. Thanks for giving me that push!
Many groups are involved in this financial mess, such as bankers, politicians, real estate agents, appraisers, and investors. There are people who have bought houses out of greed, either for their own home or for rental properties, or to fix up and flip, and their hope was to see the value of the properties continue to go upwards. They got caught off guard when
home prices began to level off or drop.
And, of course, there are people wanting to buy homes who got snagged by loan offers that were bigger than the buyer was capable of handling. When we were house hunting, we got pre-approved for a loan amount that really would not have been within our reach when you looked at all of our monthly expenses. The lenders wanted information on our expenses regarding credit card debt, and car loans, for instance, but did not ask for information regarding what we paid for car insurance, co-pays on medical visit, or weekly garbage service. If we had not made up our own budget ahead of time, and had a clear view of all of our expenses, we could have jumped into a house purchase that we really could not afford, even though the loan officer said we could. We dealt with real estate agents who, if they heard the top amount we qualified for, would push us to buy a house in that top range, even though we knew we could not afford it when we figured in all of our monthly expenses. We had to insist on staying at the price level we knew we could afford.
We bought a house based only on my husband's income, since I was not working. One agent said to me, Well, YOU could get a job, then you could get more house. Sure -- and then she would have gotten a bigger commission!
So, it is not just bankers who have been involved in this mess, others are in it to make an extra buck too, and it is ultimately up to the buyer to remember the old adage, Buyer beware.
Judi, this is becoming an older post and I won't be paying much attention to it, as we move on to other things. What you are saying and what I am saying are different subjects. The media moved fast to make everyone feel equal in "blame," but the bankers have always wanted to put guilt on people just for buying a house and then not being able to pay for it. My sil worked in a mortgage company, where everyone who got the mortgage COULD afford it. It was just that they were not told, and it was in fine print in a huge stack of printed material that no one would EVER read, that the rate of interest would multiply, making the payments much higher, until a person could no longer pay. This is crooked. The seller had no qualms about it because he got a commission up front, and the person stuck with the loan would default on it, either because the payments got too high, or because of changes in his income. Without the international bankers creating this debt system, Americans were much better off. To understand it, purchase a DVD set called "The Money Masters." Part of the video is shown online, as I indicated on the main article. Just click on the highlighted links and see these videos. The common person does not know anything about the actual crooked banking system that has taken over America's money, which is unconstitutional. It is a much bigger problem than a man not being able to pay his house payment. It is actually so big, that any president that obeyed the constitution by minting US money or printing our own currency, was SHOT by these people. Name every president that was shot, and you will find that he also ordered the printing of greenbacks or coins owned by the US. These bankers are so big, they are the "invisible government" --they are so big, that they are dangerous. It will take a brave congress and a brave president to rid our land of them. The videos I mentioned are very helpful in understanding this problem. They create wars and depressions ON PURPOSE and have admitted to it. The only solution is to cut off the money (the income tax that they feed off of) and kick out the bankers.

Well done!
This is the response to my e-mails regarding the upcoming election that I got from my daughter, who was deployed to Iraq in 2003 as a Platoon leader and 2005 as a Captain. She has personally fought to serve and protect you her fellow citizens.
I think her thoughts should be carefully read and considered. She once asked me, "Why are we here fighting for Iraquis' freedom while the American people are home letting American's hard earned freedoms be taken away by unconstitutional acts by the Congress and the President?"
This is what she said about the only reason to vote which is to express what you believe:
"I agree. This is not about a "D" or an "R"
Top 3 issues for America today (not debated or even asked):
1. Stop being imperialistic. You can't spread freedom with the barrel
of a gun. Our Armed forces are to protect America, not spread our ideas
or ride the good idea bus.
2. Liberty!-Repeal the patriot act. The laws are on the books, it may
not have affected you yet, but your right to privacy, a fair trial, an
attorney, Miranda rights etc. were signed away. (Oh, and as a U.S.
citizen you may be tortured as well).
3. Liberty! - Abolish the income tax and Federal Reserve. If you think
you have liberty or freedom when your money is taken from you by force,
you need to do a gut check. Federal Reserve 24 DEC 1913, the invisible
tax, the cause of the great depression.
It was once said "live free or die". After 9-11 it seems that people
are more concerned with living safe than free.
1. Why are we still in Iraq? FEAR. FEAR.
2. How did Americans allow their liberty to be taken away with the
patriot act? We were scared. FEAR of terrorism.
3. Why do we allow the government to take our money by force? FEAR.
If you are scared vote for McCain or Obama. They will create a bigger
government to take care of you. They will have us fight wars to spread
our ideas. They will tax us more and allow the Federal Reserve to do as
they wish.
Bottom Five issues debated:
1. Health Care (not the Feds job),
2. Education (not the Feds job),
3. the bail-out (problem created by the Fed),
4. energy security (problem created by the Fed),
5. climate control (really?, we ask a lawyer to control the climate?).
Stand-up and be counted. Vote for your liberty."
In case you didn't read the original e-mail I sent, this is it:

Taken from "About Spoilers and Wasted Votes" written by Michael Wells in September, 2000
"Voting is a way of conveying information. A vote for a candidate announces that you prefer that candidate and support his positions. If you vote for one candidate merely to keep another one out of office, you're doing just as much for that candidate as his most enthusiastic supporter. A vote is a vote. By associating yourself with a lesser-of-two-evils, your vote gets lost in the noise. How can anyone possibly know what you want? Even if the candidates wanted to accomodate you, there's nothing in your vote that makes your views clear. Bush would have to figure out how many of his votes came from would-be Libertarians supporting free trade, and how many from would-be Buchanan supporters who support protectionist trade legislation. And then what would he do?"
"If a candidate knows that he always has your vote, his strongest incentive is to ignore you. In 1996, Bob Dole went back on his pledge to repeal the 1994 rifle ban because he knew that gun owners were not going to vote for Bill Clinton, and Clinton signed the Republican welfare reform bill because he knew that opponents of the bill were not about to vote for Dole. And both of them knew that most people were afraid of wasting their votes and would support them no matter what they did. (For example, we had the truly pathetic spectacle of Silicon Valley CEOs clamoring to pledge their support for Clinton and Dole, even though both candidates supported censorship of the Internet.) Consequently, neither candidate is going to waste his time courting votes that he already has; each is going to move away from his strongest supporters to court votes that might otherwise go to the other candidate. "
If you vote for the lesser of two evils, you ensure that what you consider evil will continue to win. It's easy to become desperate, to think that the best strategy is to get rid of the worse evil before trying to make things better. But by supporting a particular type of candidate, you create an incentive for similar candidates. If the major parties are successful doing what they've been doing, why on earth would they change? They have a winning strategy. There are always plenty more candidates waiting in line who are just as bad as the one you worked so hard to get rid of. And millions of other people are voting for the candidate you oppose because they consider him to be the lesser of two evils. And it's exactly the same in every election. Even when you succeed, things continue to get worse. And you don't always succeed."
"If you want something, you have to let people know it. This is really the only reason to vote: to express what you believe. Voting against a candidate is not a belief, it's the lack of a belief. You can tell people what you don't want by simply staying home. It's rare enough to find a candidate you can honestly support. When you do, vote for him. Even if he doesn't win, you will have helped create a common bond -- and a constituency -- among people who aren't satisfied with the quadrennial Nuremberg rallies of the major parties. At the very least, you'll know that other people are on your side, and you may be taking the first steps toward real reform."
Seems to me that's worth it.

A Wasted Vote by Chuck Baldwin
