Spending the Holiday Alone?

This is for ladies who are home alone today. The video is at the very end.

There is sort of a home tour here:

Here is the home-alone challenge for you:

1. Preparation (appearance, list, other)

2. Exercise

3. Walk

4. Clear the clutter

5. Set the table for tea--two place settings so it looks like company.

6. Prepare the sandwiches and scones.

7. Take yourself to tea.

8. Watch a movie -- I suggested Auntie Mame  (Rosalind Russel)

9. Using an art journal, record the events of the day, including the previous 8 challenges.

10. Write a story.

11. Create a list of things to do before they become urgent.

And here is a hymn for your enjoyment

Dear Lydia,

As you stated in one of your previous videos, “It’s either feast or famine.” Well, the word “feast” describes my current situation. I am being blessed with a continuous flow of company and activity here. I plan on listening to this later in the day when I am finally home alone. Another special Christmas treat to look forward to. Until then, the lovely home tour was beautiful, and the Praise and Harmony Choirs were absolutely splendid! Thank you, Lydia, for sharing JOY with us!

Blessings,
Holly

You have a lovely home! You look so cheery...love the collar. My favorite movie is The Ghost and Mrs Muir from 1947 and it has a very short rainstorm. I also enjoy Little Women from 1933 and 1949. I found Myka Meier on YT and am enjoying her etiquette vids, and received her book from the library Modern Etiquette Made Easy. Great ideas today, as always! Merry Christmas!

I am slowly catching up on your videos, just watched this one tonight as I worked in the kitchen.

I thought it was very kind of you to remember those who are home alone this Christmas - I know there were a lot of them this year in particular.

Unfortunately, I found it difficult to hear everything you said in this talk, because I was in the kitchen and my dishwasher was going. I wonder if there is any way at all to increase the volume level of your videos? My tablet seems to go loud enough for everything else on Youtube, it's just your videos that I often have difficulties hearing if I'm not in a very quiet setting.

Thank you for all you give to the world Lydia, and I hope you had a very Merry Christmas this year!
