I thought I was the only one who didn’t get much done before noon. There is so much prep work that needs doing before I can actually get a few planned things done.
My usual weekly routine is to wake slowly around 8ish, have a good morning cup of tea, and prayer/ Bible reading, breakfast and a chat with my husband. Feed the dog, pray, shower and dress. Take dog for a short walk, scrub toilets and a 20 minute tidy-up. Then it’s time to start lunch for my husband. After lunch is usually when I start the day’s planned chores- laundry, vacuuming, dusting, baking, canning, gardening or sewing.
I so enjoy listening to your videos and find them most appealing when I need to rest my legs, or work in the garden, otherwise there is too much noise and commotion around to hear it.
Love your pretty blue dress with roses on it.

When I add your blogs to my blog link list on the side, it should show up when you make a recent post. Post it and then refresh my page after a few minutes, and it should be there.

Dear Lydia,

I am so late in leaving a comment on this last broadcast, but I have been visiting the links you provided and have found them to be most helpful. I listened to the butterfly violin concerto last night on my drive home from up north, and I am sadly saying good bye to another season here listening to summer sounds.😊 Your etiquette reading is appreciated, and I don’t find that it is an antiquated text; it sounds like a relevant reminder for us to keep alive in our daily lives of demonstrating courtesy to those around us.
Thank you for your honesty and transparency in sharing your homemaking journey with us. We are all aspiring to improve, day by day, and it’s good to hear that you don’t always dive into the real work until the afternoon.😏You have lots of company there.

Love & blessings,
Holly

You've given me some good advice today. I, also have trouble doing my main goals for the day in the mornings. By the time I get my Bible reading and prayer done, dressed and a load of laundry started, the other two in the house are up and the buzzing around has started, when I wanted to conquer a box or a shelf or one entire room before that, has to be put off. I get so disappointed that I don't always get to those bigger goals and end up dragging the daily things on too long. I just need to get those done and put behind me so the afternoon work can succeed. How simple is that!? Thanks again, Lydia. Part of the time, I've been snapping green beans!
