Fields of Daisies

It has been another gloriously green day with plenty of sun, and  hot summer temperatures.

I have finished the "Daisy Dress" and am eagerly working on the girls matching dress.  I will post a photo of it later.  The cotton is another Fabric Traditions brand.

On the table is another piece of that rough cotton fabric I showed yesterday in the cranberry color.  I was interested in this fabric and all its coordinates because the price was so affordable, but it is a heavy weight and I am not sure I would make a dress from it.

I did put a bucket of white house paint on the porch over there on the right. I have not painted the railings yet but at least I am thinking about it.

The dress is so pretty, Lydia! And it looks like it is comfortable too.

A very pretty dress, and tea setting, too.

Perhaps, like Huckleberry Finn, you could begin talking excitedly about the great fun you are going to have painting that fence and say "Now, I am not going to let anyone else have this wonderful job, even if they sweep the kitchen and bring me tea" On second thoughts, you might just get volunteers whose level of skill does not match the level of their enthusiasm!

I have picked up a couple pieces of wicker off the side of the road that I really need to learn to'rewick' (sp?) but in the meantime, I had not considered setting up a vignette to enjoy and use.

I have some of the same daisy fabric, or something very similar. It has a slight kind of seersucker texture to it, and I have it in a green background and blue background. I used the blue to make curtains for my back porch. I ran out of the blue to use for the door curtain and had to use strips of the daisy fabric alternating with strips of white fabric. Since I keep the curtain pulled to the side most of the time, it looks just fine.

The daisy fabric is my favourite this far, it's so pretty and summery and I liked how it flowed in the breeze.

Dear Lydia, I loved the photo that was taken through the screen door! And your tea cups are very pretty. I laughed over the paint can (and you are right at least it is in sight) Sometimes it takes me a good while to get some of these jobs done. I have a stew in my crockpot for dinner. Peeled three bags of apples for the freezer. And I just ate a slice of zucchini bread for a snack. Yummy, thinking of eating another one.... I loved seeing all the lovely dresses!
