Challenges, Gracious Living, Thankfulness

Hello Everyone,

Please enjoy your home while you listen:

Today I suggested you find out about three terms:

Nihlism
Gnosticism
Cynic

It is valuable for home keepers to be aware of the teachings behind these names, because the home has to be guarded against beliefs that weaken the family.

Also, remember to try a 5 minute chair stretch exercise and do it each day. I use Fabulous 50's on youtube but you may find whatever suits you.

Your comments are always appreciated,

For those of you concerned with health, particularly regarding masks laden with bacteria, here is a link to Dr. Shiva’s research on that subject:

Heard the first part of your video today - while preparing tomorrow's laundry (loved the saucer and cup that you were showing :D )

Lydia, I haven’t even listened very far in yet but I just so much appreciate how beautiful you are! You’re just lovely and I want to know how you do it! I know that not smoking and not drinking and keeping a sweet spirit in the Lord over the years all make an enormous difference but what else do you do? You’re quite an inspiration to me!

Warmly,
Cheryl

Cheryl the camera was kind to my looks because up close I don’t look impressive. But I agree staying away from smoke, but not drinking alcohol is helpful because those things do damage to facial skin. Also I’ve been exercising regularly and breathing exercises.

I’ll go in to other details later

Hi,
I bought a vintage cape coat pattern from the Vintage Sewing Pattern Company some time ago. The garment was made in a forest green wool mix fabric, it is gorgeous. I thought I’d share with your followers that the they e-mailed me a couple of days ago promoting a free Beret pattern . Happy days!

Hi Lydia, Yes, your sweater is so pretty, it looks so period. I was dozing in and out, putting my feet up after a trip to town, but your video sounds so good as usual. I do want to let you know that Dr. Shiva's video link is coming up as a photo of the twitter feed, but no working link. I like Dr. Shiva and would be interested in that video to keep on file, especially about germ laden masks...exactly correct. My husband actually got into a bit of a squabble with someone with liberal leanings about this subject today.

Thanks again, I enjoy your videos very much.

God bless you Lydia

Your sweater is just like the frost on the grass when the sun or the light hits it. All sparkling. So pretty.
You always look so pretty.

Janet, that’s JUST what it’s like! Lydia is so lovely, isn’t she. In the most sweet and authentic way. I find her loveliness so encouraging as I approach 60. Lydia you’re an inspiration to so many!

Lydia, I listened to this video while I put on my makeup, made lunch, and did various things in the kitchen. This video was filled with interesting information. I liked the bit about the history of cotton - it's so nice to have a chance to be the homeschool student instead of the teacher. :)

You mentioned your children wearing button up shirts when they were young. Did you require this, or was it their choice? I'm feeling frustrated with my children, my boys especially, because I can't get them to dress nicely. One of my sons (12 years old) will only wear jogging pants and t-shirts, and the other (16) wants to wear pajama pants all the time. Both of them refuse to wear a button up shirt or any kind of pants made of stiff material (even jeans) unless we are going to church. There is nothing wrong with being comfortable, but it really bothers me that they care so little about their appearance. They also won't brush their hair unless I tell them to! I try to set a good example for them now, but I think there were too many years in the past of setting a bad example. Any advice you have about this is appreciated!
