Please enjoy your home while you listen to this shorter video, and I hope you will prepare yourself and your house for company.

I’d like to comment on what you mentioned concerning rest during homeschooling. I would apply this whether one is homeschooling or not.
As a very young child I was very active so my mother always required rest in the afternoon. I was always required to lie down and rest with her. I must have needed it because we were both in better humor after the nap.
As I get older ( now 70) I require rest often during the course of the day keeping house. Not necessarily a nap, but just 15 minutes to put my feet up and close my eyes or read something.
I also find that rising at 6am doesn’t work for me anymore. My brain doesn’t function very quickly rising in the dark. It’s much better when there is some light outside when I get up for the day.

Dear Lydia,

You look so lovely in your videos. It makes me think of Proverbs 31:25–“Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” I anticipate and appreciate every homemaker broadcast, short or long. It is better than a morning cup of coffee since it really gets me going as I listen. Thank you for inspiring us to thrive in our current circumstances and to draw nearer to Christ. You are a channel of His blessing to us!

Hello Lydia!
I think you refer to nutmeg or maybe turmeric. Yes they add a good flavour to food. Thank you for doing your videos. They´re getting more interesting each day. You are motivating us and adding joy to our home. Happy New Year to you and all your subscribers. God bless you all abundantly!

I listened to this video while I did some homeschool planning. I found what you said about the smells of cooking getting our digestion going very interesting. I don't think I ever thought of that before, but that's a definite benefit to home cooking over pre-prepared food.
