Like a Butler

Good Day, Ladies. Today I am speaking to you from the forest room,
and I'm including a photo of the one forest teacup I have:

I have been outside to observe and take in the air:

I talked a little about overcoming an eerie feeling during an overcast day, or just in general how a homemaker will observe this more than others who are away from the home most of the day.
I suggested coming up with ideas of ways to alleviate this, and keeping a list of things to do when the long dark days come along.

Please enjoy your many duties at home and if you have time, drop a comment telling what all you accomplished. It is always nice to know what you are doing while you listen.

I really love that tea cup! How charming that you have a forest themed tea cup for your forest room. I think you have a tea cup to match with absolutely everything! :)

Such a lovely inspiring vlog lovely Lydia - your beautiful smile and sense of humour brightened my day so much!! Funny how you mentioned the "weirdo" days... yep - I notice them too.... but I've realised that once I get stuck into doing all the little jobs I've been putting off - I feel so good and happy that I've accomplished it all and my mood feels uplifted!! Also, we've had some much needed rain here in Brisbane - the garden is looking happier as well!! xx

This was so refreshing thank you. I have not listened to a whole broadcast yet. I should update my picture, that was from about 8 years ago! My baby is now 11. I woke up with such heaviness this morning
I have begged the Lord to pull it out of me for that is what seems necessary
This made me smile while exercising
I don't know the cause of the bodily grief. I lost my soul sister to cancer in 2014 and her dad is about to join her internal glory that and darker days for sure. I've planned out our dinner and hope to take our doggie out now I'm the sun.sbine and warmth. I'm in a Chicago suburb. She has had repeated ear infection and went to bed with that cause last night so I would be so grateful if you could pray for her ears and allergies to clear up. Thank you and bless.

I am enjoying listening to your talks. Today you reminded me of some details of my late husband. He was a traditional dresser who wore suits to work and always to church on Sundays. He had an array of brushes: a regular clothes brush, a lint brush and even a shoe brush to spiff up his leather shoes. He always looked nice and was always a gentleman. Even though people would constantly ask why he was so dressed up, he was pleasant in reply and I don't think they held it against him. Well, I must say that your talk stirred up some happy memories for me!

I love and enjoy your videos and get so excited every time you post another one, I always listen to you while I wash my dishes and clean the kitchen or fold laundry. I heard you mention home comforts book, I've had that in my Amazon cart for awhile now, she also wrote one on laundry. Can you recommend any other homemaking books that you really love? I've always been a book lover, thank you 🙏❤️

I didn't like butter until I tried Kerrygold. The story you told about what to do on overcast days (or eerie days) reminded me of my favorite story when I was a child, all about Lucky Mrs Hen who decided to clean up her home during a rainstorm and bake, and then when the sun came out she weeded her garden and then invited her neighbors to a picnic in the Sunshiney springtime woods. But they were very snippy saying they couldn't go gallivanting off like her because the sunshine showed them that they needed to clean their homes! I wrote a post about the story called Lucky Mrs Hen Lucky Mrs You comparing it to how moms who work complain about at-home moms who can go gallivanting off whenever they feel like it because "they don't work you know." 😃 🏡

Hi Lydia! I have listened while I work for a while now and just wanted to thank you for all the time you take, almost everyday, to provide interesting and humorous content. I know some would think it a little quirky to listen to someone else talk about all different subjects, but it is really soothing to me. It makes me feel like I am spending time with my dear Grandmother who passed many years ago. I am too old for you to be my Gry, but you know what I mean. I feel a comfort from listening like I would spending time with her. Your wisdom and love for the Lord is refreshing, and it helps me to know there are like minded ladies out there, or as Anne of Green Gables would say, "kindred spirits". I agree with you that once you remove the indoctrination of mainstream television, you begin to hear God more clearly. I believe this is why you feel these "strange or eerie days". Perhaps there is a particularly fierce battle go on in heavenly places at that time. I feel that the spiritual battle is quite intense right now, but as you mentioned, we must not let it paralyze us with fear or distress. It should lead is to strive to allow the light of Christ even that much brighter during those dark times. I love the idea of living a life that isn't the norm. A life that is unique and different. After all, we Christians are a "peculiar people". Thank you and many blessings!
