Winter Dressing, Handiwork, Parents Watch for Your Souls

I hope you are all happy at home, guiding and guarding it (Titus 2)

A little stealth sipping this morning set me up for the day using our old mailbox that was replaced by a new one. I have great plans for using this as a yard ornament with trailing plants.

In the broadcast I talked a bit about :
-Time for little things, time for handiwork
-Benefits of sitting in your house
-Not allowing homeschooling to become stressful
-Manipulating people's answers to questions
-Purpose of scrapbooks in earlier days
-Value of Jane Austen to young women
-My old wicker couch

Please enjoy being home while you listen today:
Please have success at home today!!

I have great plans for it's improvement today!! : ) Also what do you mean by "vital"?
I have never considered how important getting dressed first thing is. It really does make a difference to my mood and overall attitude for my homemaking ministry.
As always, I am grateful for your unapologetic encouragement.

Hello Lydia,

Enjoyed the broadcast and the lovely photos from inside The Manse. All the turquoise accents are stunning! It says, “Spring is on its way!” I just took down all my winter decor, but we are bracing for another snowstorm here in Wisconsin. Well…at least I can welcome spring inside my home, just as you have.😊Thank you for talking about how you layer your spring/ summer dresses under a jacket/ blazer and as a slip under your skirt. What a splendid idea! I will build my own NEW winter wardrobe with what I already have with this great suggestion! Of course, I always love when you read and homeschool us, too. I especially appreciate the way you stop while you’re reading and give us your commentaries. It keeps it quite interesting.
Thank you so very much.

Blessings,
❤️Holly

Dear Mrs. Lydia,
Your broadcasts are a blessing and encouragement to me. I love being with God's people [the church], but one challenge I face is making sure not to lose myself while still being apart of the group. I have my own individual convictions that others may not necessarily follow. I do not leave my baby girl in the nursery with the "trained staff". I will not attend a lady's conference that requires me to depart from my husband and daughter all day. I cannot attend any marriage retreats where children are not allowed. I will not enroll my daughter in the church's school, etc. We all love the Lord [If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha- 1 Corinthians 16:22], yet fellowship can feel quite limited at times. And of course, when everyone else is doing something, it can leave one that's not feeling odd or even worrying about coming off as snooty. But your broadcasts make me feel sane and normal and give me strength to keep living out what I believe to be right for myself and my family. Thank you for that.

Hello Mrs. Sherman,
I’m sorry I’ve been quiet for so long…. I’m still listening, learning and being mentored by your broadcasts. I’m really very thankful for your comforting presence and commitment to sharing from your heart for your descendants and us in the meantime. What you teach is a timeless, deeply treasured and is for those with ears to hear. Thank you, thank you…

God bless you richly,
Rebecca

I could not get the "Thrive On One Income" blog to load. Anyone else have the same issue?

Thank you for this interesting talk. I listened to it while I filled the new built-in bookshelves my husband made with books that had been sitting in boxes for a while. It was quite a physical job and I'm very tired now!
