Feeling Settled, Guarding the Mind

Today I show you William Poole Designs, a book with houseplans and descriptions of beautiful southern homes. Each page includes a descriptive paragraph of life in that kind of house with all its historical and atmospheric elements.

Thank you for listening and I hope you accomplished what you desired.

Thank you for your consistent and uplifting words. It is so important to keep an unsullied mind as you said. Focusing on the good and lovely is always possible. We can't choose how the world around us is behaving and thinking, but we can always choose our own thoughts and still keep a home of peace and beauty.

Dear Lydia,
I am always excited to see a new episode here, which I noticed yesterday evening and saved for this morning, to listen to while doing my daily kitchen clean~up.
It finally occurred to me that you have included "all" of the videos you've made on the homemaking playlist! So I have started listening beginning with #1.
Thank you for being a friend with whom I can visit regularly and be reminded of important things, such as guarding the mind, and comparing what we read with what Scripture teaches. I have often been caught up in choosing to read books simply because of the opinions of others, thinking it must be "safe" then.
Your bright pink flowers are lovely! I am hoping for sunshine soon as our marigolds seem to be ready to burst open into yellow brightness as soon as it arrives.
Gratefully,

Dear Lydia,
I just now listened to Friday’s broadcast. I cannot begin to tell you what a blessing it is to have you speak to us each time about being attentive to our appearance and getting ready for the day through prayer and time in the Word, as we never really know what a day may bring. Well, that’s just what happened to me on Friday morning... the unexpected! I received a call that a very close friend of mine was rushed to the hospital and was not expected to live long. How incredibly thankful I was to be ready so I could literally dash out the door in a moment’s notice. My precious friend went to her Heavenly home an hour after I arrived. I am truly a believer like never before about being dressed and ready for whatever comes our way. Thanks for drilling that in my head. God Bless you, Lydia

Love,
Holly

Lydia,

So thankful to have your videos to watch as I do my kitchen work & or have some down time in the afternoon to knit as I watch.

I am curious, how many kids did you have ? girls & boys ?
We have two daughters, both married both with one child , SO far :-)
We also homeschooled 13 yrs. Our oldest daughter hsed her son until high school, they moved 'back home ' to her hubby's family ranch; 26 kids in the graduation class this year.

anyway, so thankful for you !

Thank you for another pleasant talk. I always enjoy especially the home schooling advice. I've been homeschooling for 14 years now, and yet there are still things for me to learn about it. Isn't it nice that we can learn things every day of our lives and never run out of new information? :)

I love hearing about your life growing up and would enjoy reading your book so much! Is it available to purchase?
