I love listening to you as I work! It's like having a girlfriend over, while I work while I do my chores.

I loved today's video. Actually, I always enjoy them and get so much done. Todaay I did so many different things; it was a pottering kind of day...some dusting, some cooking , some sweeping. Your dress was just lovely and such a fancy teacup!
I have been so looking forward to Miss Lily's
next installment so that was a real treat.
I have most of the Miss Read books and would be happy to send you a couple if you'll send me your address. They are so charming , and calm.
Your Friend,
Marianne

It is much cheaper for me to order them, but thanks.

I enjoyed listening today while working in my kitchen, making a pot of soup, and crocheting a little!

I like the neckline on the dress you sewed and the way the gathers can be adjusted. I think it would be a practical feature to have at the waistline as well. I have not had experience sewing with elastic.

Recently I watched "Wives and Daughters" again and, like you, picked up new things I hadn't been noticed before. The audiobook versions we have of "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell and also "Cranford" have excellent readers, which I am grateful for. We've listened to them on long car rides.
Looking forward to the next episode ~~ Lynnea

Thank you all for comments. I like reading your ideas and observations even better than reading books. You all have great ideas too.

I listened to this talk today while I tidied my bedroom, folded a load of laundry, did my daughter's hair, and then made a nice lunch for myself. I took a leftover garlic sausage and sauteed it with some vegetables (including asparagus from the garden) and olive oil, added some Italian seasoning, some cooked rice pasta, and topped with Parmesan cheese. It was very good.

I always like it when you read to us so this talk was a real treat. I was especially excited to hear another installment of Pioneer Ribbons! I have been enjoying that gentle, sweet story; the only problem is that each installment ends so soon. I hope in the future Miss Lilly of the Valley might consider making them a wee bit longer? :)

Hi Lydia,

I always seem to work better and harder whenever I listen to your videos. They are truly a blessing for the homemaker!

I will admit I am new to the “Wives and Daughters” series. The little I know about it is what you share on your homemaker radio episodes. I must say my curiosity has been sparked to look into this literary jewel more.

After tidying up the house, I actually took my device with me on my walk today and listened in
contentedly. Thank you, Lydia.

Blessings,
Holly
