Greetings, Ladies.
Today my technician is here and she has created another beautiful slideshow for you.
My accompanying message is this: Each home can be reflective of personal preferences and deep values.
It may take awhile to acquire, understand and appreciate the things that make your home “ just so you”.
It takes some of us a long time to settle on the arrangements in a room that we are very content with.
I’m using furniture and decor from my olden days and I got into my fabric stash to stage some areas with cushions and decorative blankets, curtains, etc.
The impression I want to leave in this slideshow is to just relax and not stress over decor but use what you can find, and afford.
The curtains in the guest room are outer shower curtains ( not the plastic liners) and the folded green plaid blankets and cushions in the boys room are pieces of fabric.
I like outdoor furniture but in winter, even the hardiest items need protection so I bring in the chairs and tables and use them inside as part of the decor and for extra seating and project places ( tables).
This is not the way it always looks around here. I got pictures right after I cleaned up.

So Beautiful and relaxing!!! Hope you do more of these for each season or for holidays.

Hi Miss Lydia, this is Rafika again. Thank you for the absolutely lovely tour! It looks so serene and peaceful, it reminds me of my own mother's home in Andersonville, Ga. You have inspired me to make more of my home decor rather than purchase it from the mainstream stores (and I have found that when I do that I oftentimes see it elsewhere because it is rarely authentic and original). Trying to flourish at home has been a journey for me and it is such a calmer way to live. Sometimes I long for the simple days when I was a child and found joy in very simple things, and I ask God everyday to show me how to create a simple and wholesome life for my own two children. You are definitely one of my inspirations in regards to that. It saddens me immensely sometimes because it seems as though children these days lose their innocence far too early in life. Thank you ma'am for your time, always.
You have such a talent for making a lovely and inviting home! Thank you for sharing!
This was such a lovely video! Well done. And your home looks so pretty, comfortable and welcoming. I especially love the special rooms for your grandchildren - they must absolutely love that!
Rafika, When we first start out as homemakers some of us furnish our homes with whatever is available at the time and then grow to like the things that bring quiet, comfort and contentment.
Angela, that’s a generous compliment: thank your. It’s not like this on ordinary days. This was staged for the slideshow.
Lodging for two nights, please. I'd like the cabin room!
Just lovely and welcoming.
You have such a lovely, cozy, and inviting home. Thank you for sharing. :-)
Dear Lydia,
I loved this beautiful home tour.... it made me smile 😊. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. I adore all the sweet toys throughout the grandchildren’s guest rooms. What wonderful memories you’re creating for them. Going to Grandma’s house will forever be pleasantly etched in their minds.
Blessings,
❤️Holly
My “techies” are here for a couple of days. That’s how the slideshow came to be. I don’t know how to make one. It’s on my learning list for thrive school.
What a beautiful set up of your rooms! I love all the soft colors and it looks very inviting. I also love the toys in the rooms. How sweet. Thank you for sharing.
