A Couple of Essentials for the Homemaker

Today I have been "stealth sipping" a new flavor of tea out in the brisk air, for only one moment, due to the cold weather:

The guest room, containing Grandma's vintage furniture, and other things from her home, has a new look this season:

I found another painting by William Henry Margetson (British 1861-1940)
This one is called "Fresh Lavender."

Hello Lydia,

I thank you so very much for the past 2 videos you posted. It truly is something I look forward to listening to while I am working around my home.

I have enjoyed the little nuggets of truth on character building from Mrs. Andelin’s book. Now I am also looking forward to hearing more from Elisabeth Prentiss. One quote I copied from her book years ago was this: “To deny one’s self every gratification and every indulgence in order to mortify one’s natural inclinations, would make God a hard Master, who allows His children no liberty.” Another one is,”Recreation and rest we must have. Otherwise, the strings of our soul, wound up to an unnatural tension, will break.” I am happy to hear your critiques from her book and look forward to more excerpts and comments from you on it.

Dear Lady Lydia,
Elizabeth Prentiss' book Stepping Heavenward is such a treasure. I find it so encouraging seeing a young lady transform to the loving caring woman she became who learnt to give her all to her precious Saviour.
I am thankful for your company and for the interesting things you share.
God bless,

Your window with the lighted candle looks so beautiful and cozy. I love seeing your pictures you post, the white pumpkins are so pretty. Ms. Lydia do you like Cranford with Judy dench? It's one of my favorites, I love how they talk if "elegant economy"
Can't wait for your next video 🌺🌷🌻🌸
