After Jennie Chancey and I started the LAF
site, invariably, we would get letters from young women asking the usual questions, such as:
What if my husband dies, what if my husband beats me and I get a divorce, what if he loses his job and we don't have an income, what about the women before who had to go to work in factories? What if we lose our house; what about the slaves in America, what about the slaves in Egypt, what about the poor people in Victorian times? What about the Bible women--
