When Invited to Eat, Arrive Hungry, Being Great For Your Home, Giving Up Criticism

Coral Rose Florals: Dollar Tree

Home sign: Hobby Lobby

Regarding the steel scrubbers I talked about, use rubber dish washing gloves if

you use these, to protect your hands.

Thank you, Dear Lydia, for being so steadfast in making these videos for the homemaker. I was happy and excited to hear another episode today!!!🙂

I really profited from your envelope folding demonstration. I thought it was a great pointer for us who still write letters. I also appreciated your advice on products that we should be careful in purchasing from the Dollar Tree.

Thank you for reading us inspiring books and poetry. Thank you for helping us gain valuable wisdom in dealing with troublesome folks, too. Most of all, I want to say thank you for leaving us with a cheerful confidence that God is in control of this world and all the recent things that have caused distress in so many.

It’s been a relaxing...and yet, motivating talk again today, Lydia. I was able to go through tidying up my home and getting the laundry started. My meals were also planned and partially prepped.

Sending love and many blessings to you,
Holly

I had to laugh about your comment about restoring the wreckage of the home or yard.
My husband and I have been restoring an old ranch style rental home, that the previous owners created a Victorian appearance to by adding fretwork inside and out. They used etching paste to glass cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathroom mirrors and used spackle paste raised borders along chair rail trim in the dining area. Each room and hallway has floor and ceiling wood trim.
There are other features outside such as picket fencing with darling gates, cement statuary, arbors,
archways and plantings of hedges, climbing roses, camilias, Rhododendrons, Japanese maples and abundant blooming Clematis vines. They have paver stones everywhere.
Of course everything is about 40 years overgrown, the roof was leaking and needed replacing. You could rightly say it’s wreckage. We are into the restoration 6 months now.
Both my husband and I now have knee injuries from all the heavy work. Again I have to laugh, he claims we are just polishing a turd, but he is treating the house like a dollhouse with extra time and attention to detail.
Thank you for your wisdom, knowledge and humor, it made my day!
Blessings, Janet Westrup

I was always taught to be polite and mind my manners when invited to someone’s home as well as my own home and this meant being self-controlled when eating. At least one serving of everything offered and more if invited to.
I do understand about diets since I now have many food allergies. In this case it’s always important to share this with your hostess before the event so feels won’t be hurt.

I recently began watching your videos and want to thank you for taking the time and putting all the thought and effort that must go into making each and every one. I'm so glad they are not only ten minutes long!
My husband encourages me to take some time to rest and relax each day so I have been "visiting" with you through watching and listening to your videos. Sometimes when the sun is shining through our front glass storm door, I'll listen while soaking in the bright warmth of the sun.
I have also listened while doing dishes or preparing a meal.
I really enjoy all that you share and find it very helpful and encouraging. I like to see what you are wearing and how your hair is styled as it gives me ideas to incorporate more variety and femininity into my life. I also enjoy seeing the different teacups, flower arrangements and colors schemes in your decorating. That picture in the background in this video is so pretty! I like how you share tips, ideas , poems, books, and relating and behaving with people and relationships.
I have been in a slump and am beginning to try and make little changes one step at a time with my appearance and wardrobe - wanting to take better care of myself. I also want to take better care of our home.
Thank you again so much for sharing these! ~ Lynnea
