Am knitting as I listen... For the videos...Any suggestions concerning others who talk only about themselves and their activities? I'm genuinely interested and listen (even ask questions), but many ladies seem to not know how to toss the ball back, and include others and converse?! Must admit, it has caused me to think a little more as to what I say...God may be leading me in this season of 'new friends'? Been homemaking ages and ages, but your hint to clean up the kitchen BEFORE the dishes makes such sense. Huge thankyou, from me. Christmas Blessings,Deidre
Deidre, That is an interesting topic. I have been asked that question before. I am sure there is a way and I will try to find out.
Dear Lydia, I must tell you what a blessing your videos are to me! I usually do chores while I listen, but today I am feeling ill with a cold & temperature, so I have made myself a cup of tea and I'm really enjoying listening to your talk and looking at your lovely lounge room. It is looking very festive and cosy. Your advice, as always, is very well received - having recently had a guest in my home who was rather loud and irritating, I am taking note of your tips on how to deal with argumentative people etc! Thank you! Your mother sounded like a very resourceful lady - and it's amazing how children pick up on this trait and show it in their own lives later on. I like to hear about your homeschooling days and I agree wholeheartedly, that constant sharp replies are detrimental to young children. I very much look forward to your next talk, take care x
I just want to thank you for Housewife Radio! I enjoy listening to them while doing housework and when relaxing. I'm sure it takes a lot of time and effort to put them together and I appreciate all your hard work. Have a blessed and merry Christmas!
So happy to see you all after publishing this and I hope to do another one soon. Thanks also for the ideas, and for your lists of things you did while listening. It shows others just new here what the purpose of it all is.
I have been listening and getting lots done! You do inspire me. Thank you for keeping me company. I really liked what you said about turning isolation into an asset. I should have known that; I am an artist!
I joined you today on housewife radio. I’m always elated to have you speak to me while I work. It surely makes the Homemaking more pleasant.
I love having you share about your mother’s life on the Alaskan frontier. It is not a place for the faint in heart. She understood what it took to make a happy home for her children despite adverse circumstances.
I can relate to setting aside the curriculum and books when you feel you are running out of patience. I wished I would have done that more with my children. You don’t realize at the time how fleeting childhood is when you are in the thick of everything.
I was able to make up 2 batches of Christmas cookie dough and lunch while I listened. I appreciate your visits with us. Thank you also for pointing us to the scriptures and reminding us to pray daily for strength and help.
Blessings, Holly
Thank you Holly. I'm always elated when I find the the time to sit and talk to everyone!
I just found you on YouTube! I have already listened to two of your videos. What a pleasure! I am currently a teacher, but hope to transition to homemaking and motherhood in the near future. Your talks are so inspiring ❤ Thank you! I look forward to listening to more!
Thank you Mrs. Sherman for this video. It is true the people topic is my favorite for your discussions. I can relate to the couple that had to live in a rv/trailer while their home was being built. I did that with small children. You are a natural at this and I hope you continue. Your motherly approach sets a nice tone for your videos: firm and transparent yet kind and graceful. I will continue to glean from your experience. Those are a helpful as well.
Thank you for for these videos! Every night about two weeks you have kept me company after my little kids go to bed. Just for the last few days I have cleaned the oven, the fridge and today I arranged the pantry while listening you.
I started waking up at 6am and after my bible reading and journaling, I go and get myself ready for the day. This has revolutionized my every day life. I don’t have to rush to get my oldest to the kindergarten (I have to get ready/load up two younger ones as well).
Also my friends are giving me compliments that my house is always ready for unexpected visitors. And it is, I take pride of striving to be a good homemaker.
I don’t often find likeminded people on YouTube whom I can listen over and over. But now I have you. Thank you for this amazing idea of producing videos to listen. I’m not sure if the only one, but now you have at least one younger (if 37 is young) fan here from Wyoming. God bless you!

Thank you. I hope everyone gets some things done at home they have been putting off.
I am enjoying Housewife Radio while I walk on my treadmill for exercise! Thank you so much for being willing to share with ladies who want to know!
