Fun With Latest Restrictions

This has been going around, poking a little fun at the latest Oregon rules — no laws were actually passed. You will get a chuckle out of it too:

My comment: Everyone can be an exception to the rule!

So I think a LOT of people will be sleeping during the sermon all over the state this Sunday (see#2). Not only that, but the singing will be better because of individuals being more in the performance mode, and more men will volunteer to get up front to do things during worship (see#8). Some churches describe their acapella singing as a competitive sport, so #7 might apply for them. That ol' "get up and introduce yourself to the person next to you" ploy might come back in favor amongst preachers, see #6, and more people will take notes, maybe even bring lap desks or laptops to do so (#5).

  • Individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask, face covering or face shield when in an indoor space unless the individual:

1.     Is under five years of age; unless an individual is using public transportation or in transportation hubs in which case an individual under two years of age is not required to wear a mask, face covering or face shield.

2.     Is sleeping.

3.     Is actively eating or drinking.

4.     Is engaged in an activity that makes wearing a mask, face covering or face shield not feasible, such as when actively swimming.

5.     Is in a private individual workspace.

6.     Must remove the mask, face covering or face shield briefly because the individual’s identity needs to be confirmed by visual comparison, such as at a bank or if interacting with law enforcement.

7.     Is practicing or playing a competitive sport at any level.

8.     Is performing, including but not limited to playing music, delivering a speech to an audience, and theater.

  • A person responsible for an indoor space must:

1.     Ensure that employees, contractors, and volunteers comply with this rule within the indoor space.

2.     Make reasonable efforts to ensure customers, guests, visitors and other individuals comply with this rule within the indoor space.

3.     Post signs at every entrance to the indoor space that face coverings are required as described in this rule.

If it's possible to laugh, it's better to do that than to cry.

Bible says that the Lord in His Heavens laughs at the follies of the kings of the earth :-) I guess He has a sense of humor too.

You are a breath of fresh air, Mrs. Sherman. It is so refreshing to have plain-speak putting the truth out there. Thank you. x

Its actually quite restrained. I may one day say something far more blunt. I'm trying to be on my most polite behaviour. ;-)

That's even worse than where I live. We're thankful we can hop over to the next county that doesn't require suffocation devices.

A more accurate description. Have not heard that one!

Mr. S. said we were all exempt, since at least at some point in our lives we have behaved like 5 year olds ;-)
