Your table looks lovely! I especially like the way you have used little fairy lights in your displays, and I love the dolls house - I have one similar.

I want to tell you how much I appreciate your Youtube videos! They are so encouraging and informative.

You are such a lovely person and I enjoy listening to your videos as I go about my household chores; it’s just like having a good friend stop by!

I would like it very much if you might consider adding these topics to your discussions: The fine art prints you have on your blog and lovely classical music.

I would love to order prints of some of those beautiful paintings and display them in my house too!

I would also like to know which artists to look into and study, and also which classical music composers you enjoy, as I’d like to

Play their music when I am busy at home.

I am 65 years old and live alone now, yet I try very hard to make my home lovely, gracious, peaceful cozy and relaxing.

When I was growing up, my mother worked full time (night shift) as a nurse, and had to run the house and take care of 3 children.

She was always so overwhelmed and feeling exasperated! As a result, I learned that housework and homemaking was a real chore,

Just something I HAD TO DO, but grudgingly and resentfully. As a young girl, I used to envy my friends whose mothers stayed home

And took care of the house and the family. Those mothers were the only positive role models I ever had as far as being a homemaker was concerned.

I have spent most of my adult life, trying to recover from that mindset that homemaking is drudgery and not meaningful.

That homemaking was not as important as going out and earning money.

I think I’ve come a very long way, but, I still haven’t reach the place I’d like to be in regards to overcoming such negative brainwashing.

Thank you so much for all the time, thought and effort you put into posting your videos! You are such a blessing to so many people!

Please continue on with your YouTube ministry, as I can assure you, it is bearing much fruit!

May God bless you and your family in this new Year!

Sincerely,

Julia Manly

Julia, those are good suggestions and I will try to address the subjects of painings for your home and music.

Hi Lady Lydia,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family! I wanted to take a moment and say thank you so much for the videos you do! I had an incident where a family member was very discouraging regarding being a keeper at home. I appreciate your encouragement so very much and want you to know God is using you through these videos to encourage others in His ways! God bless you, Lydia, and thank you for being a true lady in this world!

In Christ,
Tricia

Hi Patricia,

I would like to know how you handled the unpleasant moment!

We had an uneventful and quiet Christmas Day. We discourage our family from driving over dangerous mountain passes and in bad weather, so everyone tries to stay put. Mr. S. got a dashing new hat and it reminds me to get back to the "Fashion for Men over 70" column I was doing for awhile on this blog.

I got a new cardigan which I'll wear in a video.

Blessings,
Lydia
