Clothes Help Your Mood at Home, Friendships, Home Tour, Girls and Boys Handibooks

I apologize for the inconvenience, Ladies. I took the video down to correct something in it. It took a very long time to get it uploaded again and reposted. That is why I do not edit my videos. If I were speaking directly to you in my living room I would not be able to edit anything anyway. ;-)

The mistake I wanted to correct was that Mr. S. was born in 1943 (not 1946) so when you come to the end, remember that.

Dear Lydia,

How delightful to have your company with me today. I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes while I listened; the usual walk to nowhere was made A LOT more enjoyable!! Thank you !

I really appreciate how you share your homeschooling books with us. I had gotten rid of many of mine, but I find myself ordering older books like the ones you shared today from online thrift bookstores. I also thought your handwritten note of the Elect Lady was beautiful. I am planning on teaching calligraphy to a group of homeschool girls the end of the month, and I really will need to practice up on it again. What a beautiful lost art it is.

Appreciated all the vinegar cleaning tips... I noticed all the cleaning vinegars have been sold out along with isopropyl alcohol at all the stores around here due to the newly discovered virus scare. Nonetheless, I find pickling vinegar with 5% acidity works just fine as well.

I really look forward to these videos, Lydia. Thank you again for consistently making them. They truly are a great encouragement to the Christian homemaker that considers her family and home a calling and privileged way of serving our Lord and king.

Blessings,
Holly

Dear Mrs. Sherman,
I listened to you this morning as I got ready for work. I listened to most of the rest when I got home while I cleaned toilets and tidied rooms. I need to go make dinner now, so I'll listen some more. I love to listen no matter what work I'm doing.

I believe I heard you mention using vinegar to do laundry. Could you please explain how you do this in one of your videos?

I'm also enjoying the story about the girl on the Oregon trail.

Thank you!

If it's permissible for me to interject: I usually use vinegar as a fabric softener. I hear it doesn't damage the washing machine in the long run like some detergents.

Yes that is true. Dryer sheets and fabric softeners are just more chemicals for you to breathe and not good for your skin. Vinegar is great for static control and you can pour it on a whashcloth and put it in the dryer with the clothes if you forget to fill the softener gadget with it during the wash. Vinegar prevents wear and tear on the clothing too. And if you se detergents, you fill your house with chemical air that affects everyone's breathing and sometimes children get rashes and runnynoses, itchy skin. Vinegar washes mens work clothes well, and its okay to use Dawn, which has no phosphates, for a stain remover. I put it with water in a spray bottle.
