The weather does not matter when there are sights like these. This pretty rose grows outside the home of my current host and hostess.
They are US expats and this is a chair handed down through the family. They brought it from Texas.
Besides hot tea and breakfast, my hostess offered me nail polish, because she likes this brand so well. Apparently it is not as likely to chip, as other kinds :-) She is urging me to try it. That is some hospitality! My hostess was elated because she had found some bubble bath from Avon (the product is not so much available in shops these days)and wanted me to try that, too.
Here is a quilt she is making. She likes the vintage reproduction fabrics, which have a 1940's look.
She uses this flat fabric on the back, a type of Minky.
They installed lights inside their cabinets:
I hope everyone has a peaceful day. Thank you for such nice comments.

Missing You, Roxy
Hello Lydia,
Am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mother...I lost my sweet Momma a year ago and miss her very much! Was just wondering why no post of her funeral and burial...did I miss that?
A faithful reader,
Kay
I really like the chair ,(I live in Texas) and the beautiful roses! I like the vintage quilt, cannot sew but can crochet.
Enjoy your friend, christina
What a beautiful post. It is so blessed to see a rose in bloom this time of year. I too love the feedsack fabrics from the 1930's- 1940's. They are unique and pretty. So happy these little special treats are bringing joy to your days. I think OPI nail polish is the best too....Praying for your safe return and comfort for your heart dear sister...Love Kelly
OPI is one of my favorite brands of polish. That is one thing that I do splurge on once a month, getting my nails and toes done. It's that little feel of luxury that I can afford myself.
I am glad you are getting to see friends while you are in Australia. I have good friends in Ballarat who tell me I should come and see them sometime.
