Another Truck, and the Hospital

The back of a Christmas magazine featured this festive truck.
This is one of the Hoffman Media publications.

Mr. S. landed in the hospital today. He had injured his foot but couldn't remember how...that's quite common. People kick something accidentally and keep walking. But his foot developed  cellulitis, turned red and swollen.

His brother had the same problem and was in the hospital last year.

He's doing okay and attendants are coming in his room just to hear his witty quips.

He will be here a few days and I am staying with him.

One of our sons called to remind us how he had installed the doors and leveled the floors and attached the railings on the walls of this new hospital, while with a construction company. After that we felt we owed a visit here.

Mr. S.. received a very good report about his condition: his blood pressure was lower (usually it is a little high) and in fact, too low, saying it wouldn't hurt to have it a little higher. Consequently I brought his bills so he could spend some time paying them. I thought it might raise his blood pressure. It was that, or have an argument, but we ran out of things to argue about decades ago.

A wounds specialist is coming tomorrow. I will keep you all posted here, although I may make other new posts.

Thank you for your prayers.

Dear Lydia,
I hope Mr. S will be well soon.
Glad he is able to sit up and do things on the computer and spread some cheer, too!
I enjoy hearing of his daily 'doings' as well as your own.
Take care,
Aline L.

Speedy healing for Stan and for peace for you. I hope he's healing well. IV antibiotics? Cellulitis is nothing to play with.

Oh my, I am so sorry to hear that Mr. S is in the hospital. You do have a way of making even that sound delightful, though! You are always so encouraging! I will be praying for both of you, and that Mr. S will soon be on the mend and quickly back to his normal routine! Love, Kathy

I'm praying for a smooth and rapid recovery for your Mr. S. It's good to hear he is getting the care he needs and that you are staying by his side. Last month when I had to spend time in the emergency ward of the hospital, my husband never left my side and it was a great comfort to have him there. It can be pleasant to converse with the friendly nurses, but nothing is the same as having a loved one with you in a time of illness.

Praying for you both. Hospital visits can be emotionally taxing. I’m sure though he will make the most of his time there in conversation with attendants.

Please allow me to add my well wishes to the lovely sentiments on the comment page as well. Thanks also for keeping updates. Yes, to new post as some of us don't go back and check older posts. Perhaps a picture of the charming couple?

Oh so sorry I read about Mr.S.
This is definitely not the time of year for this, but when is?
I’m sure all the Dr.’s, nurses and staff appreciate your loving kindness.

There was a very good report from the doctor today. A foot wound specialist is to come soon and show me how to care for the foot, apply a dressing, etc.
